It's because Phys Ranged is the easiest role in the game to prog difficult content on, and allows phys-ranged players to artificially progress into content that would otherwise be beyond their skill-level. This obviously isn't true for all phys ranged players, but it's common enough that it's lead to a widespread negative perception towards the role. There's a reason that when a content creator is getting carried through Ultimate/Savage, they are almost always advised to play either a phys-ranged or SMN!
I’ve heard stupid opinions from legend status users. Your job of choice means nothing especially in the “no player left behind” era of FF14 where all the jobs at this point are a patch cycle away to make DNC look complicated
Wait you guys care about other people’s opinions?
People should just play what they want and not worry about others opinions. Just if you play it...play it at least competently. The amount of Dancers that don't know about Curing Waltz stacking is...higher than it should be.
For those that don't know...Curing Waltz is a small AoE heal that is based off your proximity...and your partner. If both you and your party stack on each other and then everyone stacks on you...then you get two heals for the price of one. Best used after a stack mechanic since not often are you going to be stacked. Curing Waltz Stacked is 50% stronger than a Medica.
When you deal with human beings, never count on logic or consistency.
Fluid like water. Smooth like silk. Pepperoni like pizza.
No class is rated any less over the other regardless how a certain majority deemeds it so (Savage, Endgame hardcore players).
At the end of the day its all about 2 major aspects; follow & be consistent with mechanics in all scenarios & just be you & embrace your job/avatar altogether & wholeheartedly.
Ffxiv has a beauty that surpasse beyond expectations; nothing feels relative & the whole world is different. Cherish in that & you alone.
PS: There’s always bad apples or much negativity occurring amongst players themselves & just avoid that sort of notion.
