Linked marketwards are coming in 2.0 so guess we just have to sit tight til then.

Once the wards are linked, i'm thinking that the other cities will be even more deserted. I think they need to make it so that we have more reasons to visit the other cities.

I agree there could be more incentive to be in the other cities, but I don't think linking the wards is going to cause the cities to be even more deserted. If anything, its worse now where you are "forced" to going to Ul'Dah if you want any chance of getting something you need off the Market Wards. Maybe they will keep inns/personal housing exclusive to the current 3 cities, since we all know whenever Ishgard is available everyone will be parked there 24/7 ala Jueno/Whitegate.
