Yes gift cards in general. The best option you have to gift items from the store is people who use the steam version as you can make purchases with steam wallet.Sorry, can you elaborate? If someone is just a pc player, no steam or playstation.
I can see Paypal gift cards seem to be US only and it doesn't look like you could gift anything from SE?
Edit: I've just realized you mean gift cards in general. Not gift cards for mogstation.
Funny story, I had a guy in ffxiv sending me pictures that were taken like early 2000 trying to pass that this is him *now* sure buddy, I recognise the emo clothing from back then (not proud of it) and you can check the exif file data rather easy. Be safe out there everyone, especially if you want to spend actual money on someone you only know through the game and nothing else. And yeh if you don’t trust a person enough to use the gift card on mogstation items instead whatever else then what the hell are you doing wanting to spend money on people you don’t even trust?People buy gifts with real money for people they don't know personally? Lol I don't even spend Gil on strangers. A good policy in hindsight, as someone I played with for 6 months asked me to buy them an 8 mil mount (I refused) and later blew up over something totally pointless.

Dunno why people catfish. The other person is going to know the second they see you and starting out with a big lie isn't doing them any favors.Funny story, I had a guy in ffxiv sending me pictures that were taken like early 2000 trying to pass that this is him *now* sure buddy, I recognise the emo clothing from back then (not proud of it) and you can check the exif file data rather easy. When you deal with human beings, never count on logic or consistency.
Fluid like water. Smooth like silk. Pepperoni like pizza.
Of course, I think for them it “makes sense” in order to get what they want in the digital world since its very unlikely you’ll meet them in real life at any point so they take advantage of that.

Do we have any information when/if the mogstation mounts come back as being purchaseable as gifts?
I was 100% prepared to buy the Lotus for my mount crazy friend last month. At first, when i noticed I simply can't, I thought maybe you cannot gif it because it's so new, but all the mounts are still no-go as gifts.
Read the lodestone note about the shop being in under bit of an update - ok, fine.
Heard all sort of legends about this being FF14 teams attempt to stop rmt - way to kill a fly with bazooka if that's true.

That's just selfish and creepy. If I want someone to like me...I want them to like ME.

just add your friends to your friendslist.
It seem more like a cry about not being able to make a good profit in RMT of things bought for when there was a sale going on.
Oh yes, I think it also comes with immaturity or just insecurity in general, with everyone having access to everything thanks to the internet, being a “normal” human being is no longer enough, you are constantly bombarded with amazing people, be it by looks, intelligence, talents you name it, and when so many people (especially picture-wise) fake who they are, you feel as if you have no choice but to do the same hence the immaturity and insecurity. What they don’t realise is that yes, they will attract the wrong people and the relationships will never be genuine but for so many having the choice between that or nothing, they pick whatever they can get. As for me, I love humans from a distance, I really couldn’t give two turds to belong anywhere. I had a friend who used to mimic personalities depending who we would hang out with, especially in online groups, it was very unsettling, needless to say we are no longer in contact.
And to keep it on topic, it’s everyone’s choice to give gifts, but please think twice before you spend money on an online person you met through game, another good thing to keep in mind, friends that care for you won’t ask you for mogstation items or even hint at for that matter.
1. Set up a zoom session with your friendDo we have any information when/if the mogstation mounts come back as being purchaseable as gifts?

2. Have friend log into the Mogstation store as themselves
3. Have friend purchase Lotus mount while you watch
4. Have friend turn over payment to you in zoom session, so you can input your CC number
5. Hit "purchase" and be done with it
See how easy that was? Don't like that one?
1. Purchase gift card at local retail store
2. Send gift card to friend (or the numbers ... you choose)
3. Friend uses gift card to purchase stuff on Mogstation
Or how about:
1. Find mount/minion/glamour item on Market Board at reasonable price (one that Friend does not have)
2. Purchase mount/minion on Market Board
3. Send to Friend
"Reasonable price" can be anywhere from 2,000 to 200,000 gil. Anemos gear is fairly inexpensive for glamour. Most of the 'ilevel 1' clothing glamours are going to cost between 100,000 and 500,000 gil. Should be relatively easy if you participate in Treasure Map runs for a bit.
And be thankful that you don't have to pay for currency conversion every time you purchase something from your local Mogstation store, because paying in Yen starts to get costly.
I think you missed the part where they just totally disabled a bunch of items from being gifted permanently, regardless of friends list status. With a pretty weak reason too, imo.
There were two separate changes (friends list requirement and changes to what items can be gifted at all.)
