easiest way to solve this would be to simply automate the RMT reports if the sprout is a trial user. if more than 5 people report them for RMT advertising and they're a trial sprout who hasn't completed their first dungeon (sash) then the game should just automatically "mute" them for 24 hours and disallow them from using any chat outside of instances.

The problem is that the average player is dumb at spotting bots.

I have been called a bot several times simply because I was mining for several hours in the same area. A low level area. (identified a gap in the market)

This is true, while going for the At Arts Horizon achievement I got called a bot a few times. I just laughed it off and told them I bloody well feel like one right now.

However, bots and RMT are a problem that SE need to do more about. Given the chance they would wreck the game like they did to XI.

Don't worry, Eureka Pyros, in every datacenter (except japan! funnily enough) is completely overrun with RMT bot farms doing the south bunny fate for 700m+ a day gil.

Its great to see that they moderate the JP servers, but its kinda sad when 50+ bots are sitting in an instance, reported by an entire datacenter eureka community, and gets ignored for over a year.

The cracks in the XIV facade of being 'an amazing game' really start to show when you find the parts of the game they ignore.

I thought the same first time I went to Pyros strangely enough the recent few times I went to Pyro there were only like 2 bots.

Now I see a freaking ton in Eulmore same ones all the time show up.
