I have hundreds of millions of gil. Still haven't found anything to spend it on. A currency that can't really buy you anything desirable is quite a poor reward.i dont understand how people think that a 15m gil mount isnt a good reward for some 20 minute dungeon runs, you can farm 1-2 of these per day if you are dedicated enough (with a premade or good pugs)
criterion dungeons is one of the most gil generating, legal things in the entire game

As someone who's played since 1.0 I'm not really sure why you're looking for something if you're not enjoying it.
Maybe spend your time and gil with friends because I can guarantee you if you're hoarding your own wealth that some newbie needs like 100k gil that will get them to like level 50. And it will bring far more happiness.
Reframe your point of view.
Yes you worked hard for it. Congratulations!
But as you say, you're not enjoying it. So stop hanging onto something you're not enjoying, and make a few new impressions in the community you are a part of, whether you like to think you're a part of it or not.
I've made some great new friends this way! it's not really enough to cause dependency for gil, and I take time to teach them on how to save money/manage inventory/make inexpensive glams. So that becomes another part of the game for me. [Caveat, if they are on free trial, I will taxi them around to their goals to help them save a bit of gil too. usually end up grabbing another friend and we get in a multi-person mount and show them around cool areas!]
I personally collect minions but if you're a newer player (as suggested by your 21 start date on forum, if you started before, apologies) I can see why collecting things you would never get all of feels pointless. but find something to enjoy. otherwise why are you spending time hoarding your own wealth on the game if you're not having fun?
to quote Yoshi-P,wishing you a pleasant day and fun in gameIf you're not having fun, you're doing it wrong.
mj
p.s. as someone who DOES give newbies gil it really brings me a lot of happiness. and they pay it forward to others.

Woah there. I didn't ask for advice, thanks. I'd prefer nothing to do with the general community in this game. I have a pretty strong dislike towards people who don't strive for self-improvement.
And if you think that buying friends by giving some rando hobo money is a good way to spend your gil, good for you. But I'm not into this commie shit. If they want gil they can earn it. You literally have to try to be poor in this game, which is ironically why gil is so worthless.
