taking advantage of the instaqueue as healers I decided to use traditional dungeon spam for healer and I gotta say. before shadowbringers I was not noticing anything strange with people's decision making skills but starting in here I noticed a dramatic drop in tank performance. When i'm tanking or dpsing I don't notice this kind of stuff but I sure can see it as a healer.

i've had two Dark Knights not using TBN (which was strange because they were using their other mitigations. You'd figure the one with the shortest cooldown would get used the more often.) and I had a Paladin that ate EVERY SINGLE ATTACK that storge(the final boss of this dungeon) did that put a vul stack on this lazy sandbagger. he literally never moved at all, which was more weird than anything because the rest of the dungeon he was perfectly fine with everything else he handled. He just stood there and ate 5 vul stacks every time Storge's mechs would start and finish. *triple raid-wide aoe intensifies*

Thank goodness the dpses were on point, it's a miracle in itself we didn't wipe.

I guess that shows how well I was able to manage my oGCD heals to prevent overextending resources but I do not want to go through that shenanigan again. Next tank I see that doesn't move during boss mechs and also doesn't have that red marker signaling that he/she is having network problems, i'm booting them on general principle.

DRK probably didn't use TBN because they squandered MP on the oGCD attack (can't remember the name off the top of my head, it had a straight-line AoE version and it refreshes your damage buff).

It takes less brainpower to refresh the buff timer like that.

On my catboy alt, as a WHM trying to clear base ShB.

Together with the help of my friend we queued into Amaurot. DF paired us (WHM & SAM) with DRK & DNC. Everything seems normal until after wall pull after 1st boss. The DRK suddenly sticks to single pull.

"Well okay that's fine. The music and the feel here is nice anyway..." I told myself.

Onto the second group, the DRK tanked the mob close to where they are stationed. About 30% health remaining they suddenly pulled all the mobs to the wall, away from my happy holy'ing spree.

"What just happ--... whatever. It happens."

Second boss commences. Again, starts out normally but then our DRK proceed on collecting tiger cookies so freely they had 7 stacks by the time the actual boss returns to the arena. At this point I've become wary of what's coming up in next wall pull. Truly, the DRK again pulls off the same antic on the first pack at first section. This time they immediately run to the next pack the moment I started my Holy cast---but I kinda expected this; I held my PoM and cancelled the cast. Enmity, while have never been really being ripped by any of us, I see they're wandering dangerously close to high yellow/orange color on the enmity bar & aggro table. The DRK also start to eat some red carpets, an antic they never displayed on any previous trash pack pulls.

Moving onto next section, they straight up pulled everything but then pops Living Dead on... full HP... in the middle of my Holy spam....? They went even crazier with red carpet eating this time. No problem; I just cast...2 more Cure II and Regen...which means 3 less Holies...? At this point I'm fully expecting them to just take everything raw so I decided to play with their health bar. Dropping it so low (if I remember correctly it was 389 left) before hitting Benediction as if nothing really happened.

Finally after all of that, we reached Therion... only for the DRK to suddenly just stops moving & responding to anything. They just waited back there on the platform as if waiting for one of us to pull the boss. Honestly, If I was in bad mood earlier in the day I might've just vote dismiss'ed the fella but I'm interested how this would turn out. At 6 minute mark I asked them in the party chat: "Are you alright over there?".

Again, no response. My friend /poke'd him, then the DNC wiggling and spinning around the DRK, probably trying to signal that they're getting impatient. At 9 minute mark DNC finally spoke up about vote dismissing, which the rest of us quickly agreed to. The vote passed with no resistance in addition to instantly getting a tank replacement. We cleared the run real quick afterward.

Outside my friend's goof'ed a few and died from it, nobody ever died & the DRK didn't even made a single peep. I was thinking it was a legit lethargic play but I really hope I was wrong.

Shinryu came up on trial roulette for PLD.
Tidal Wave starts. I run to the back. Everyone else is in the middle....

I have to say I appreciate how it hits like a proper wave as I got bumped first, then everyone else went flying past me in the front, with the exception of a MCH who must've used Arm's Length.

Well, a Castrum Meridianum tank complained about not being able to do pulls, the extent of which was supposedly me hitting the first boss with Harpe whilst they were charging at it (the big pulls before the boss went quite smoothly). The tank promptly decided to turn off stance for the entire fight, resulting in all the adds chasing the healer and co-RPR around since I was burning down the boss. Upon both of them notifying the lack of stance, the tank responded with "I don't have time for this," which amusingly contradicts them protesting the alleged increased pace (in a very undertuned dungeon that I had little issue semi-tanking), in addition to them suddenly doing a small pull right after the first boss (in which the rest of the party grabbed the other mobs).

Did a few mentor rouletts yesterday as a tank and it is always a joy of what you can get.

Got one queue pop which is a 16 min running duty.
Oh no, probably a ex trail. So I get in and it is a 8 player duty, but the last EW msq trail.
Well, apparently the Tank's didn't use the LB3 and then just left the duty, followed by nearly everyone else.
Easy clear for us.

That was smooth so I go for another round and again a 16min running duty. This time it is a ex primal for sure.
Got in and it is Antitower.
While running to the group I asked the group about the previous tank and they say he was a douche.
I expect them to wait at the first or 2nd boss but they are at the last boss already.
So, another fast round.

I also got in 4 different normal raids, 3 EW ones and one SB. I always had the same DRK co-tank who insta pulled as soon as possible. Even after a wipe or when one healer had the DC symbol.
He also had tank stance active most of the time but never got even close of taking Aggro.

HEY GUYS! Guess what! guess what!... I've been playing this game since 2015.. and I FINALLY... FINALLY!!! Got my first YPYT! I'm so happy!!!....Wasn't even the DAMN TANK.

So me being the Masochist I am, I'm currently trying to get all the relic weapons (Like I did all the others) . So was doing 50/60/70/80 roulette for some Tomes to buy more rocks.

Load in and see I'm in Kugane Castle with a WAR, SGE, RPR. And me on DNC

Gate drops RPR instantly teleports and runs off to the first group pulling them back to the tank, which is picked up no problem. (Tank continues and grabs the next one also) Dance them down. Onto the next full pull... which somehow leads in the tank dying.. which was weird. I was soon after. But the tank was back up by then and they finished it no problem.

Its the first boss I start to notice the weird way the Sage is healing... single target healing. But nothing really rings any bells till the RPR dies with about 10% of the boss HP left. And it wasn't that they stood in stuff. Its just... they weren't getting any heals and the next stack marker took them out. Mmmkay.

Continue on with me paying full attention to the quickly checked level of 90 Sage. And this continues.. no healing is happening on the RPR.
I'm getting shields, Tank is getting shields. Sage is shielding themselves.. Hmmm.....

Last big pull before the last boss the RPR dies.. and the Sage.. just leaves them there..The following conversation happens after they are left there for a long while.

RPR: res....

Me: Don't think the sage wants to get you
Me: Return
RPR: hes just trash
(At this point I kinda don't wanna pay attention to chat anymore. Since the RPR just made it so they can't file a report and I wasn't sure if they might have been friends)
SGE: okay
(Takes note of the different server... Hmm maybe not friends.. Watches as the sage now stands at the entrance of the boss room. Not moving as we fight the boss... sighs wondering how easy it is to wipe it)
RPR: why else would you not rez me for 4 mins
(slight exaggeration though it was a while but then... it happens.... IT HAPPENS!)
SGE: because you pulled several times ahead of the tank, and that shits agrivating
Me: ypyt is again tos ...
(On controller trying to type and dps means typos happen, but it seems to make the sage suddenly start moving again...)
RPR: lol really pretty petty bro
SGE: you could also just not cause problems
(Please note the SPROUT Tank seemed to have ZERO issues just picking up the adds neatly brought to him..)

Now I ASSUME. Its because we DIDN'T have matching last names... but were the same server.. Only.. I didn't know the RPR... I didn't queue with the RPR... and would have 100% of reported the SGE had the RPR not called them trash... But still.. I'm so proud... and honored... to have my first.. YPYT... even if it wasn't the tank... -Wipes tears-




PS..Followed that up by a 90 roulette on SMN... with a PLD who told me and the other SMN ...to "Be selfish with your phoenix" "my clem is more potent than your phoenix" ...which they used.. often.. during pulls.. lol... Battle crowned... btw..

It was a very rare moment long ago but I had a tank looking at me funny for using Curing Waltz during pulls and then somehow he blamed the healer because I used it despite being a normal run with both doing their job without issues
