Please let me use my house on alts

I know we are different people but we are all the same family and if I could just share perhaps a house, and really, really please some bank or storage space, with my sisters it would make a world of difference.

Medley helps me by collecting materials for my daily company hand ins and right now she has to leave them in a specific little corner of our guild storage for me to pick them up again.

I mean right now a house of our own is way beyond our means but if we can only ever have one anyway then it would be nice if we could all choose where to put things, help with the gardening and share a storage trunk or two as well.

If it is sharing with your sisters, it is a non issue. Form an FC and you will be able to all use the FC chest. You start with one tab and by the time your FC is level 15, you have 5 tabs to store items.

Also, there are new houses coming in January. That gives you enough time to get the gils for a small to be ready to bid in January. Form an FC now to be able to bid. Smalls start at 3M but you also need a building permit which is 450k. You can pool your gils if needed.

i can't believe they dont do this already, especially given how ridiculously hard it is to even get a house. yes you can play all jobs on one char but what if you want multi races? cmon square

I think part of the problem is that SE makes it so that in order to give access to another player to access or decorate a house they need to be on your friends list. They just need to remove that stipulation for alts. If they really feel the need to make it an option, provide a checkbox in estate settings for "grant guest/full access to all characters on this account."

YoshiP addressed why this hasn't be done yet in the 14 hour broadcast live Q&A. He said it's still on their to do list but they wanted to prioritize increasing supply for those that don't have houses yet over adding QoL for those that do.

Seemed like a strange response considering the problems are somewhat interrelated. What is one of the reasons players put alts on other worlds? Because that's the only way for the alt to get house access. If they could have shared the house another character already has, there would have been no reason to get the second house and that would have been one more available for those without one.

If they focused on alts and increasing the item limit, it could sort some of it out as well, as well as actually starting to enforce actual housing politics as well in this game.
