What is more important, protect JP DCs or make NA seethe with macros?(CrossDC travel)

I play EU. I hear what people and friends tell me of NA. Originally I wanted cross-region DC travel to play with my friends on NA. After seeing a lot of things on these forums and hearing a lot of things from my friends, I actively do NOT want cross-DC travel to avoid NA players coming over to EU. I imagine its same with JP but tenfold because its compounded with language barriers.

Say it louder for the people in the back. There are quite a few things I could say about the things I've heard and seen with the EU/JP community but I prefer to make my own choices and viewpoints based on interacting with others myself, rather than shoving everyone from one place under the umbrella of "bad". Maybe I'm just weird but assuming an entire culture/community is one way because of events that went down (which, again, don't even showcase both sides of the situation) or from the news (which is constantly overexaggerated for shock value or bias, especially in the US), or from hearsay (where again, you probably aren't getting both sides of the story and a version intended to make the speaker look better) is a choice. The amount of closed-mindedness in this thread is honestly really sad.

I'm not gonna post further on this cause I've said all I can but it really makes me sad.

While it would be nice to be able to see my friends who plays in EU/JP, I probably prefer to have it only if we have something like "hide other players from different DC excluding friends"-kind of feature, or something similar.
