FFXIV VR is happening…

This could be the reason why I would buy a VR headset.
I always wanted one but it felt as a waste of money to own one just for the few game's out there.

But with this mod, I would probably use it quite often in FFxiv.
Not for RP purpose but to play the story.
I already have a UI layout for story only where everything is reduced to the minimum or completely disabled.
It would be a great experience to play a whole add-on in first person.

Dunno i feel like if it manages to let people see the world through a vr headset that is basically everything Balmung players would ever want. I mean lets be real we know for what "most" people would like to have VR for in this game. And it is not the breathtaking ground textures or nice animations i promise you. All it takes to make people happy will be to just give a realistic view of the world through the headset not more.

This is the future, just accept it don't fight it. It's catgirls emoting on each other in the quicksand back alleys while the players have huge chunky vr headsets on to see their modded characters do stuff. Maybe Meteion was right afterall.

After all, it’s on early alpha stages.

I heard from a friend of a friend of my sister's friend's husband's dog, who tried it, that the mod is still feature incomplete and clearly very early days. The dog - who uses a Vive Pro 2 and a 3090 - also told it's owner's, wife's friend's friend's friend that it's quite blurry and fluffy looking compared to other VR games that the dog has played. I heard through that grapevine hat the dog in question since uninstalled the mod.

not sure why you think this. FIrst person is already in the game as it. You don't spin or anything in first person... there were people posting videos about it last week. its looks pretty cool even for a game as old as this is from what I saw. I mean I took a tour of ishgard in vrchat and it was bad ass actually

Most of the time in VR, you want to have a bucket nearby anyway.
