What's a piece of Gender Locked gear that you wish wasn't gender locked?

Not only would it be easy, it's frankly baffling that they haven't done that. Like, what stops anyone from levelling classes to get the AF gear? It's not like the Didact gear doesn't fit other healers.

I would love it if people got to wear whatever version of gear that displays a different look based on what gender your character is. Like I love how the Neo Ishgardian tops look on guys or that they get actual pants instead of booty shorts that hide under the ladies half a skirt frilly top. I probably wouldn't mind the shorts if they actually showed a smidge. The only way I even know my character is wearing "pants" is by the knife that most of the sets have that's strapped to the thigh. Course designing so many bits and bobs only to have them be hidden by a top or the few times sleeves and footwear do it is one of the things that boggles my mind when they design these sets. I know you can just mix and match stuff, but I shouldn't have to look at my character armor screen or do an upskirt of my character just to realize I didn't forget the leg slot. Course I wouldn't want them to put something else more important to do any of this.

I think the WORST example of this are the Quan pants. On female characters they have a really nice design on the sides but that design is missing entirely for male characters and I don't really see why. The pants are otherwise basically identical.

idk about the Quan... but I do know a Male Miqo/Au Ra/Elezen/Viera wearing the Neo-Ishgardian Top of Fending for females would look gorgeous.
