New story writer for 7.0

I have a question: while it would have been great to have more than two new people be duty support and hang out with (I was pulling for Leofard myself), who should they have been? I mean, if you want to be technical, we really haven't had Estinien that long compared to Y'shtola. He's been in and out since ARR, like a reoccurring guest star that got promoted to the main cast in seasons three and six.

I digress. Anyway, I don't think there's an answer that would have pleased everyone. There are people on Twitter who are sad that (insert scion here) wasn't part of the MSQ. If we had gotten someone else to replace Y'shtola's role in the Void Quests, who would it have been? I mean, Y'shtoal could have said, 'I don't want to go to the void; I want to go to the first, but here's this person I hung out with when I wasn't being badgered by Master Matoya; she's pretty good, I've been exchanging letters about portals with her, and she's an expert on the Void.' I bet at least a quarter of the fanbase would consider her to be an inferior Y'shtola.

So yeah, it is what it is. We'll probably make more friends along the way, though!

In any case, interested in this new writer. Ishikawa got promoted, didn't she? Good for her! I loved Shadowbringers. Endwalker had some rough spots, but overall I enjoyed it. This Hiori did make my favorite side character who I keep hoping gets the G'raha treatment.
