One Shot PVP- No SAM or MCH

Please tell me I'm not the only one who gets a one shot. Just last party comp, no SAM, no MCH. They had a WAR, DRG, WHM, BLM. I've been stuck at gold rank since I go to it, and each fight is a total loss. It's a one shot each time. It's becoming one of the most frustrating things.

I know as a SMN I'm a prime target, but to have the capability to one shot or I don't even know how they are doing it.

    Any ideas?

    You are being team bursted.

    WAR: Onslaught (5000 + 10% increased dmg taken) + Primal Rend (8000-8800 + stun)
DRG: Geirskogul (4000-4400) + Wyrmwind Thrust (up to 20000-22000) + Nastrond (up to 10000-11000 when below 50% HP)
WHM: Seraph Strike (8000-8800) -> Afflatus: Misery (12000-13200) + Miracle of Nature (uncleansible Polymorph)
BLM: Burst (16000-17600, will gapclose onto you + instantcast)

It won't need all of it, but generally if they synchronise a burst on you paired with stuns etc. to reduce the time you have to react and you didn't pre-shield with [Radiant Aegis] (10000 HP-Shield that mitigates for 20% while up, can be cast on teammates), you will die without team support and without good positioning.

    Generally:
1.) Avoid being in the open if possible
2.) Stay out of melee range unless you go for the Ifrit melee
3.) If you Ifrit melee, make sure you don't dive into a group that isn't pre-occupied with someone else already and / or is 3+ together without shields

If you learn to become a resilient target or one that will waste a ton of ressources from the enemy, then you will likely rank up if you keep playing. Consistency is key.

It would be nice to have a death breakdown to see just what killed you.

I one hundred percent agree with this.
