Yeah, my OP was edited a long time ago to take note of that, as well as myself mentioning it pretty early on after I said it lol. I'm definitely embarrassed that I missed that when making the thread, as I do run DRK in Savage content. I just thought of it as the Flood/Edge damage buff and not 'Darkside'. I remembered 'Darkside' being a toggle, sort of like a tank stance and thought it was gone entirely. Honest mistake.

Aside from that, do you have any opinion about anything else mentioned in the thread?
I did the AST quests quite a few times and the card assignation thing bugs me EVERY TIME.

Summoner's HW story says that a given person can only "hold" three egis at a time, to explain why we couldn't create a Ramuh-egi. Then we got Bahamut and Phoenix. Yes, they're technically demisummons, not egis, but the distinction feels like splitting hairs.
Machinist goes on about how the job was created as a support unit for the Temple Knights, but now machinists have no non-role support skills (aside from Tactician, which might as well be a role skill, since it's functionally identical to Shield Samba and Troubador).
I would’ve liked to see early BLM quests assist the guild in Uldah in the funerary rituals they do. IIRC they use fire, frost and thunder to preserve bodies.
I’ll also always be a little disappointed our RPR Voidsent isn’t someone special/significant. Though I do understand why they went that route with the quests. Shoulda got to see its personality come out tho imo.

In this day and age, there is no reason why each class cannot have a 20-hour-long storyline quest. (fully voice-acted).
