Constant Vulgarity in Public Chat. WHY is this allowed?

As well as the discord it really has been heavily mentioned here and on reddit in a myriad of Dynamis posts, where are you going posts, which server should I choose posts and so on.

Name and character picture seems to get it recently, the bigger the character's boobs the more chance it has to become the RP server.

Halicarnassus has big boobs, but is just too hard for people to type one handed,
Marilith is snek lady and pretty flat,
Maduin is a cute white hroth like character, If anything this could become a good LGBTI server now that Faery is locked off

and Seraph is cute, plus short and easy to write one handed.

Marilith is a lamia type and follows the seductress boss model and is most decidedly not flat.

Maduin is a dude. He's Terra's father. He does have Byregot level pecs. You probably saw a picture of his Esper form.

Halicarnassus would be the one with the most basis to be LGBTQ+. That's the one that's flipped from male to female.

Seraph is the angelic type summon. That's probably the one most likely to be flat.

To the OP, if they're breaking the ToS in public chat, report them. And you aren't going to get a warning unless you're doing something to break it. too, in your response to them.

Ok, I didn't know about Balmung being THAT server when I joined but I leave for Seraph as soon as it was allowed and boom... here they are again, absolutely disgusting ads and ceaseless spam about adult topics and if you say a word against it YOU are the one with an account warning.

I love this game but I do not understand why this filth has to be in public channels ALL THE TIME.

Is there a server that has people focused on the game and not brothels and constantly putting down anybody who is not into that?

I know I can just turn off public chat but if I wanted to play a game alone I would not be on a MMO. I have played a LOT of MMOs and by FAR the worst about this is FF.

1) As you make clear in your complaint, these groups carefully talk AROUND what they are doing. No profanity or vulgarity is actually stated in their adds.
2) If action was taken in your acct, you didn’t say “a word” against it. Judgemental attacks don’t fly around here.
3) Clearly, someones never been to Goldshire. No one attacks you until you start trying to tell people what they can and can’t do.

If you aren’t into it; don’t join. Not everything revolves around you.

I feel like the idea of roleplaying in 14 has become so diluted that it almost doesn't mean anything anymore. My own friends think people who afk, meme, and play bard music are roleplayers and I just sigh.

Roleplay and “soft content” is the only thing left for many people to do in the off-season. The current tier is largely over and we won’t get a new one for another few months. Everything between now and then is just casual story mode and weekly facerolls. So people have to fill the void. Like it or not, nightclubs keep a lot of people subbed to the game. It’s good business and helps the world feel alive. It also helps that FFXIV has one of the most active and robust modding scenes in gaming, which makes gpose, housing, and erotic content very popular. All of those are intertwined with the nightclub scene and share a playerbase that props this game up during the droughts. Without that, what are you getting? A bog-standard sword-and-sorcery MMO? This isn’t WoW, this is FFXIV. Enjoy the modding tools, get jiggy with your friends, and shake your booty at a nightclub. It’s Final Fantasy, darling!

If you need the public chat to socialize with others you are anyways lost in my eyes. Nobody needs the public chat tbh, it's just memes and advertisement anyways. People talk on discord, in linkshells or fc chats and even groups. If you really want to "not play the game alone" then do that instead of crying about something that isn't used to socialize anyways.
