for a year, would you rather be secretly filmed at random moments and have the footage uploaded to your social media or loose $100 when ever you said a curse word?

I kept my expectations low for island sanctuary given the dearth of information but I was still disappointed.
I was hoping for a natural paradise with either customisation for the fields so i could have flowers etc like il mheg or the la noscean farm outside mist OR a couple of easy but surprisingly deep farming mechanics eg fallow, crossbreeding to get lore entries on plants (and a similar thing for animals)
Instead its cookie clicker with a side helping of line manager simulator. More like a mammet sweatshop or a voluntary slave camp for our wols.
Why the fuck am I paying mammets? more importantly why if my stuff is being sold, it is for a fake currency and not solid gil?
I adamantly refuse to build up my island but sadly I cant turn the damn thing back to before I had that rubbish excuse of a cabin. Island glamour fixes some of the natural destruction at least but theres these giant square platforms of dirt making it ugly and all these mammets roaming around what is supposed to be my island.
I cant even have a deckchair at the beach!

You will never have customization on Island, because if they can give you customized island, they would have give you instance housing.
I'm suddenly finding myself motivated to gather for my island again. Does anyone know the max number of items (laver, apples, vines, etc) per type you can hold? I need to capitalize on this momentum to get as much as I possibly can to have a good buffer of items to make things with before I lose motivation again.

I believe is 999.., at some point I couldn't get more, and had to sell 999 stone.I'm suddenly finding myself motivated to gather for my island again. Does anyone know the max number of items (laver, apples, vines, etc) per type you can hold? I need to capitalize on this momentum to get as much as I possibly can to have a good buffer of items to make things with before I lose motivation again.
Honestly, I don't hate Island Sanctuary. I even like having some chill, cozy dailies that I can do every day, gives me something to do when I log in. Aesthetically it looks good too.
It just could have been so much better. There's no reason to leave the base camp after you set everything up. There's no personalization. I hate the mammets, I wish I could build everything myself even if it took far longer and each building was done in stages, it'd still be my island. The rewards are good but I actually think they're too fast and for once it's content where the rewards don't need to be the only focus.
It's a nice idea, but it's done so quickly and the end result is so limited at the cost of a lot of developer resources.

I hate the mammets tbh, i think the Island itself is fine but the mammets are the worst of the worst. Cause of them the Island feels actually dead, i wish they had approached the Island differently. Maybe some mammets yes at the start but heck give us some real people...maybe some visitors from characters that we met through the msq which dunno spawn randomly to relax on the island.
And for the love of hydaelyn give us a little cottage, no housing but seriously something more than just a bed in the mammet mall. I swear they are watching us while we sleep there...you can see it in their dead soulless eyes.
This is 100% correct. What was advertised and what we got were 2 very different things. I didn't really want to strip-clear an island and turn it into a manufactory for shipping products to Limsa. I mean the only thing missing at this point is installing nets in the stairwells so the mammets can't fling themselves to their deaths.Well, the Island was advertised as "Your own personal Island for relaxing and easy content"
What we got was "Tataru's Mammet sweatshop where you have to manage it for her"
Not sure if the devs are just that out of touch but Island Sanctuary is the biggest example of this game missing the mark I've seen in a long while.
"When will our consciences grow so tender that we will act to prevent human misery rather than avenge it?" - Eleanor Roosevelt

Island randomization would have helped Island Sanctuary greatly, but kind of convinced their game engine isn't capable of it (Potd & HoH technically does not count).
