Are you the guy we spent about 4 pages trying to explain geography to? The ping for oce players on EU and vice versa is completely unplayable. This is not a option.

Regardless, I don't really have a preference to either having cross data center travel to NA or EU. I only suggested EU because it is the least populated out of the 3 existing ones hence a more likely chance should SE enable cross DC travel for OCE.

I think the lag issues aren't as bad as perceived and given a choice, I would take having a little bit of lag over playing in a data center that is extremely inactive outside of a couple prime hours, which makes it even less attractive even for SEA players given that they usually are behind OCE timezones as well.

JP vs NA 40 ms difference. DC travel OCE - US is viable HOWEVER the vpn / gpn is an additional $10 USD / per month

All I can really speak on is my own experience and I'm able to do content with 0 lag. Maybe I just have really good internet but yeah.

It is not a "little bit" of lag. Our British raid member attempted a character on OCE and was easily over 300ms. It was completely unplayable. Us kiwis going to EU is the same, actually worse. I can't believe this is the second time I'm having this converstation of how OCE and EU are completely polar opposite sides of the world and are not comparative to being an American that sits in the middle of both - but here we are.

Let me point out that all Americans route through one place and if you do not live on our west coast we can get some crap ping even on NA servers. For me playing on OCE over 400 ping was not unusual. It is why I am moving off.

I have no idea what this has to do with linking OCE with EU. Nor do I understand why every OCE thread has NA weighing in about how their ping "is fine to EU" or not fine to OCE or whatever. You're not us.
