    CC is a good mode, but there is no real incentive to keep playing ranked after reaching your goal 1 time because the rewards don't meaningfully change. Even if a game is fun to play, you need a reason to keep playing after you've seen what there is to see and proven you can do it to your own satisfaction. The same portrait kits with a different numeral just don't cut it.

    Whatever they do though, do NOT bring back season-exclusive rewards like Feast Top 100. I would prefer a system similar to wolf collars where you get tokens based on your tier and/or placement, which can then be exchanged for an expanding catalog of good rewards like mounts and gear. I wouldn't object if they brought back the Feast Top 100 rewards for this. If the rewards are costed appropriately, you would only need to add one every couple of seasons to keep people playing.

    I also think the housing trophy for 1st place was a good idea that should be brought back. Could even expand it to top 10 with gold/silver/bronze trophies depending on placement.

    they might do the trophy but nothing thats Mounts/minion/glams since thats why they put the series bp up in the firstplace.

    CC is a lot of things, but a "good mode" is not one of them. It is anti-fun at its worst. I don't think I've enjoyed a single game of CC.

    It's just not fun at all.

    Having reached Crystal in Season 1 (who didn't?) I can confirm that there's no real incentive to push hard anymore. You're not likely to get top 30 or even top 100, so pushing hard for ranking isn't worth it if you can't commit. A I on my portrait doesn't feel any different than a III or a IV, and I don't use any of the PvP Framer's kits anyway because of how gaudy they look. It's literally just for a few extra Trophy Crystals, and I've bought every Virtu glam I cared to. Currently pushing for the one or two pieces of Hellhound Gear I might like and then that's really it. The rest of the shop is either irrelevant (bad glam) or completely bought out.

    Honestly, I think the only reason I might push hard in CC this season is just because of how quickly you get the Astronomy Tomestones needed for relics. Nothing directly related to CC or PvP itself since I completed the Battle Pass.

    I'd just as soon suggest them rotating out the Battle Pass with every season instead of every two seasons just because of how quickly a person can fill out the bingo card. It would at least give us more frequent rewards from PvP.

    Personal preferences may apply, noone forces you to like what you hate. Objectively it is a good mode though with some kinks that need ironing out.

    i broke into plat on my alt without even trying lol

    legit i like how they got the series bp tho, basically so long as you play any pvp mode you get something which is nice. looking forward to when they add feast gear to the series pass

    Casual is still instant queue. It's still very much alive.
    People need to stop treating CC seriously. It can't be treated seriously - teammates are RNG, battles are usually picking on one person at a time, there's no communication within team etc. It's really just designed to be enjoyed casually.

    Their small-scale PvP modes have been a queuing mess for as long as I can remember. Casual and Ranked essentially cannibalize each other. It isn't/wasn't an issue when CC was new and shiny and everybody and their mother were queuing both Ranked/Casual to try it out, get the (at the time) new plate accents, work towards the series glamour/Garo, farm trophy crystals for the dump of new things. Now there's a smaller pool of interested players. Even marginally active players bought everything they wanted with the trophy crystals by now. It's incredibly easy to achieve the level 25 series malmstone award in just 1 PvP season- you don't even have to set foot in a single CC match for it either. You're left with the people who actually "enjoy" it or for whatever reason are trying to climb rank; neither of whom are a sizeable demographic.

    When there's lulls like this on even-numbered seasons (you've already lost the people only interested in the prizes from malmstone tiers), the dichotomy of Casual vs Ranked activity tends to stand out. At the beginning of new PvP seasons, basically, you're pretty much forced to no-life/ constantly queue Ranked while there's still activity in the first several weeks of the new season. Otherwise you end up with inconsistent, 15 min to half-an-hour queues between matches. And once the Ranked activity dries up in whatever brackets, people probably just turn to Casual because at least that will pop regardless of your PvP ranking/skill (which is why they're clown fiestas 75% of the time). Casual is still "alive" late in seasons while Ranked is mostly abandoned by those who climbed early.

    The devs just don't maintain their PvP reward structure and incentives either. And by that, I mean incentives and reward structures that are feasible and tangible to as many people as possible. They're probably sweating blood just coming up with malmstone rewards every 2 PvP seasons. Ever since CC launched, there has been no additions (as far as I noticed) to trophy crystal trade-in items, maybe like just 1 new wolf mark item (jail bars?), and the latest series 25 reward is a mount of their most generic dragon mob from way back in ARR that Midgardsormr, Ehll Tou, Gwibbers, etc. look better in almost every way. Coming up with top 100 glamours and mounts again aren't going to do much of anything except incentivize activity in the same bunch of people. Most prospective players won't even bother wasting their time trying to rank with that system again; Feast wasn't particularly successful either in this regard and still suffered the same participation droughts.

    They may be a tad more active with job adjustments and miscellaneous fixes/changes for PvP since CC went live, but the lack of incentives and basically everything else for PvP is as dry as it has always been.
