You can blame it on Ilvl skippers, but there sure as hell should be more than 24 legitimate players queueing for alliance raids.

The datacenter is the size of a single server. Without crossDC travel/play there is no reason to main a character on Materia other than the ping, which doesn't really matter if you can't do content on demand

Yes and if you read my point I mention I was able to que for all content bar those 2 alliance raids, and in the other thread I also mentioned a que did pop twice around the 6-7 hour mark for copied factory but someone was either afk or declined -_-

I would never take somebody's word for something being 'dead' game wise, as gamers tend to highly exaggerate situations. To me, 'dead' is never being able to find a game. Queues that are hours and hours long for matched content during peak hours, etc.

I am suspecting there may be a weird "cultural mindset" on Materia with alliance raids specifically – not just the higher raids, but there is a weirdly high frequency of PF posts trying to gather 15 people for an unsynched run of Labyrinth so they can get through the story. It's not even helpful for them – I've seen them when checking PF before I went and did my roulettes, got Labyrinth in that roulette, came out and the PF is still there half-filled. I have to wonder if they tried to queue first or if they just went straight to PF.

Meanwhile I've been levelling my own tanks so have been doing a lot of alliance raids this week, though it's always Crystal Tower. A couple of times I've had other raids as DPS.

(Though I have to say, if anything drives me back to JP it will be the constant mess over who is tanking for the alliance raid. JP "B is always tank" is so phenomenally simple.)

I think the most balanced way to rebalance population is to allow cross-data center travel between Materia datacenter and EU datacenters.

Given that both JP and NA already have 4 datacenters each while EU only have 2 at the moment, allowing EU and Materia to cross-data center travel would help increase server activity for the player population in those regions, not to mention there would be less of a culture shock compared to allowing DC travel between Materia and JP servers.

Are you the guy we spent about 4 pages trying to explain geography to? The ping for oce players on EU and vice versa is completely unplayable. This is not a option.

My concern is they're not going to address this until its too late I was so surprised when OCE wasn't mentioned at all in the next LL after it opened - literally when the entire community were desperate for news about housing. I just don't think our feedback goes anywhere.

To be fair, it's hard to even get Nier to pop on NA these days. I see more people using PF to get a group together than DF.
