Matchmaking in diamond tier is bad

I got to diamond in 34 games and it went from 5 minute queues to 45+ minutes wait time as soon as I got to Platinum (on light) and the only active period from my experience is somewhere between 6 to 8pm and even during that supposed peak time there's moments where you'll get 5 or so games under 5 minutes then back to waiting for over 20 mins to one hour. Currently down with a flu to have the energy to keep up so gonna park here and wait for tomorrow for new season, hopefully it fixes match times.

Most Light players went on to play their Alts on Chaos because the Queues pop there more regularly. You are left with handful of top 20 players that play at spesific times and then random assortment of Diamonds that might get the game rolling.

I got my top 100 early in the season and just bailed because I often waited longer for a match to pop than the actual time spent playing, besides the rewards are just pointless repeats so not many players will bother to play ranked once they have theirs.

Casual still pops regularly, but I have nothing but some of the grindiest achievements left, so I will probably just not touch it either until next Series hits. CC isn't good enough compared to most other PvP games to spend excessive amount of time on and even though the base is solid they can never make it good unless they go all the way to rework their netcode and that's not going to happen.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully they sort the system so I can just have match making games on my main without needing to be extra specific or do some alt thing. Just want to que up and game.
