Venue/club advertisements have become a massive nuisance

Absolutely none in shout or PF. If people want to RP, they will hear about it from word of mouth. The people who RP will find out about them because they will likely be in RP discords.

I've agreed and disagreed to some of your points. Just pointing out why it's not too much of a big deal in the end and how you can maturely deal with the advertisers, especially the ones that choose to do it in the novice network. You stated that it ruins your experience with the game. Which is a bit over the top, since you're the one who's making it out to be a problem more than it actually is. It's annoying, yeah. Really annoying if you have no interest partaking any part in it. But it shouldn't ruin your experience if you choose to ignore it when it gets advertised at main city hubs. It's a community thing. Most people ignore it if they're not interested. The curious players (who are likely new to the game and have not explored that aspect of FFXIV yet), are likely going to go there and probably develop an interest in the RP scene.

You are such a little snowflake. It's rather amusing. So are people suppose to blindly agree with you without giving you a more broad perspective on the matter? And yet I get called manipulative when I disagree with the point of you wanting the developers to do something that could be absoolutely detrimental to the RP community. You go as far to say that you don't want them in your PF now, but do you know how hard that will be for a newcomer of RP who wants to partake in the activities? A huge majority of casual RPers do not rely on discord, they just like browsing the PF to start venue surfing. Oh, but you don't care about those players, you care more about yourself and want to push your selfish agendas among to others.

Although, I can guarantee you making a post about this is pointless, because nothing will be done about it in the end. They're not going to ban the advertisements. Which is why I informed you to not let the advertisements get to you, because your problem won't get fixed. You're lingering onto this issue that it is your fault that it's a bigger problem than you make it out to be. FFXIV is a very community driven game, so let it continue to strive in that biggest strength it has against other MMORPGs.

You can avoid them easily.

Click the party finder filter for the content you are interested in, instead of looking at the "Other" tab.

Don't wait in busy areas where the adverts get put.

My last few posts didn't go through so I'll just leave it at a series of bullet points.

There is roleplay outside of venues.
There are many venues that are not roleplay.
The community is not only venues.
The venues are not the entire community.
Most people in the venues just order 100k gil drinks then afk /beesknees.
No ads does not mean no venues.

The people you are championing have nothing to do with this.
The "roleplayers" are standing around in cities doing murder mysteries and stuff.
The new players see those and try to join in.

Venues aren't roleplay. They're just second life clubs.

When its being spammed constantly, its hard to ignore.

Yeah, so many people found that as a solution that half the internet uses adblock now.
You've resulted to personal attacks, therefore you lost.
You have a conflict of interest.
I give you the same weight as I give apple when they justify why removing the headphone jack doesn't just save them money on ICs.

You're effectively a corporation with a vested interest trying to justify why you should be allowed to annoy everyone uninterested for the few that are.

Saying "I do not want ads in a party finder" is not going far.
That's common sense.

I was leveling WHM in south shroud and I saw 2 ads.

SE Won't do anything because Venues /ERP community keeps the game alive in terms of business, those people are the one who stay subbed no matter what because they have their alternative "Second life viewer ".

FFXIV popularity right now and main focus its that you can have your fully Second Life experience and mod your character/client without any restrictions. I know its disgusting but nothing will change.

its a trap to assume that restricting advertisements = restricting venues
There's still external sites where people can find venues.

Hell, I would be COMPLETELY fine if they made a "player run venue finder" to funnel them all into that filtered them by day/time then had those that start the same time/currently open display in a random order with zero bias.

I just don't want it littering up shout chat no matter what zone i go in.

I have NOTHING against roleplay.
I do however have a problem with venue ads being spammed.

Most of the venues and clubs and the likes is more about finding ways to get gil from people with VIP passes and the likes as well, which should not be a thing or way to farm gil on for possible other stuff.

And tired of hearing we got live bards and the likes as well, when it is just 1 bard using a macroplayer of the likes to play songs and his 7 bots is in synch with.

Used to be fun when people came in, and when you ask those bards if they want to just improvise with one self... they really get into the corner and the claws comes out.
