It doesn't really look like you are being abused, though? The same happens to everybody that sells on the market board. People buy up then sell it again. Its people like you that make people not want to come out with their story of abuse in the first place. I don't need to come up with some conspiracy to see what's happening to me in game by a group of market hungry trolls. I dont know any of these people as I have stated in previous post. If it's funny to bully other players then that shows who they are not me.
People standing next to you is easy to explain. After all, there are only so many market boards.
Yes and sadly this type of thing happens on these forums more than it doesn't. Ignore them honestly. Its people like you that make people not want to come out with their story of abuse in the first place. To your post, the fact anyone harasses you specifically with random retainer names is enough for a GM to take action. The rest doesn't matter. So continue listing, ignore them, and report again. If nothing happens, demand to speak directly to a GM. Speak specifically about the retainer name harassment and any other form of harassment. The buying/undercutting in all this is irrelevant honestly. Hopefully you get some resolution with the situation. I personally never dealt with that, just mb botters but I just tank the price and flip their stuff, then laugh at them in tells and thank them for the cheap gear and nice profit. You can't beat em but you can make it a drag for em.
Having them make retainer names after my character, having them come sit at my FC house and stare down my friends and I is abuse.
It would be nice to know how you approached them initially. I can't imagine people are just randomly doing this to somebody with no communication. Every major product on thr market board has undercutting, etc.
Coming to your fc house isn't abuse. It's a public area.
I dont know these people all I did was put up some Leathers, some materias and others items as other players have. I started catching on to said player buying my things then eventually changing retainer names over to my actual name as if I had done something personally to them. After that they followed me into different markets. Any market I went into they had friends follow and buy my things, post it back with rude names. The occurrence at the FC house was weird because said person stood there staring at me and my friends, afking next to the marketboard and doing several emotes at us.
You can report them for emote spamming.I dont know these people all I did was put up some Leathers, some materias and others items as other players have. Their actions towards you are beyond insane and something SE should take care of ASAP. I've heard of similar stories and how people who get into market board do it on their alt for these reasons. Its absolutely wild.
I know i'm also assuming, but wouldn't surprise me if these people are doing RMT.
Okay, you got me curious. I'll come chill with you to see for myself. You can point out the MB listings where they're using retainer names to harass you and maybe we can come up with ways to counter them. Is your character the one that you posted on in a different thread in a different subforum that I also replied to?I dont know these people all I did was put up some Leathers, some materias and others items as other players have. Someone engaged in RMT isn't going to spend their time harassing a player. They're going to spend their time making and selling gil.Their actions towards you are beyond insane and something SE should take care of ASAP. No this is my only account and sorry about the late reply busy workweek. If you are online currently Jojoya I can meet up with you.
Some people really see the marketboard as a pvp arena and they don't even care about making money because they have so much at this point that it's about more than profit for them. They want to sell first, and that's it; and if you undercut them by 1 gil, they'll "teach you a lesson" by just crashing the market for fun. This can get really nasty when you're selling crafted items that have your username attached to the bottom of it, because people can see exactly who's undercutting them and take their anger beyond the market space. While I've never dealt with this personally outside of occasional undercutting, it doesn't surprise me to see this occur and I've seen people sort of talk about doing it more than once (the "crash market" thing, not the bully thing). Sometimes the only "aggressive act" you need to engage in to gain someone's aggro is to compete for the same market share. It's legit possible that all OP did was "dare" to sell something that a mentally ill market-pvp champ also wanted to sell.
Anyway, good luck out there. Some people in this game are really, uhhh, "Special" lmao.
