That and character customization. This game is so incredibly limited in that aspect. 1 in 4 people look the exact same.
Most people i know have met their clones in the game, be it other players or characters.

I think you're confusing this game with FFXI where players were literally limited to hairstyle, facial model, height/body mass/skin tone and hair colour (there was no hair or skin colour pallete choice, only six hairstyles with a single alternative colour, choice of hairstyle was locked to facial model, each race and gender had it's own unique hairstyles not available to any other race etc etc).

Sure FFXIV might not have extremely detailed customization but it's still lightyears ahead of FFXI, so if anyone meets "their clone" in another player's character, that's not a limitation of the game's character creation, that's simply lazy players lacking imagination and creativity (too many Link cosplayers for one). And SE can't fix that I'm afraid.
