I've seen countless 2000 words post getting instantly dismissed and mocked on reddit (and here) because it was going against the general community opinions.

2000 words and against general community opinions do not necessary mean constructive.....

On the other hand, I've seen countless posts with wall of texts containing more than 3000 words proclaimed to be contructive cristisms when, in fact, just full of biases, self-righteuosness ego, and selfish desires.

No community acts like that and certainly not this one.

But I have to agree that XIV is way too casual sometimes. And once you do raid you get hit by that difficulty spike hard. haha

Why you'd think it'll turn into 'RP - The Game' when we continually get raids, I have no idea.

The point is, while it is relatively small, he does have an audience and a bit of influence and if he convinces even one more person to quit it is one less sub for FFXIV and that shouldn't be celebrated.

You say that, yet here you are telling me this. And it clearly takes one to know one, as your opinion is just as callous, if not worse. I already know my opinion doesn't count for much on its own. When I decide to go, I'm not going to make a thing of it. I'm sure you will though.

No community acts like that and certainly not this one.

What I've seen is people always moving the goalposts of what "constructive" means. And usually the final stage is "criticism is constructive if I agree with it".

That's why I won't post my take about EW on the FFXIV subreddit or any subreddit with many FF players. If I even mention that I dislike a part of the game, I get downvoted to hell and cursed out by angry players. And yes, FF players on reddit and the official forums will gatekeep constructive criticism of the game.

You got 100 casual players for every 1 hardcore player. The casual player only pops in every few days a week but substains a frequent sub, the hardcore player plays everyday as long as theres endgame to be had but drops their sub when there is nothing left. Who would you make the game more comfortable for?

The fact is the XIV is going to be like WoW, just in the opposite way. Blizzard shot their feet by creating a toxic elitism environment, XIV is shooting their feet by creating a toxic positivity towards casual contents, leaving behind what should be a relevant feature of an MMO. Contents balancing.
A good MMO should balance its contents so who wants a chilly experience can find it in there in the same way who seeks for a more x-core experience.
XIV forces who is not interested into running dungeons, fishing, rping, grinding achievements/mounts/minions to leave and unsub till next expac.
XIV forces the veterans, players that maybe plays this game since 1.0 and supported it since its first release to play the same old shit everyday.
There is no risk in trying to revamp an old system.
Hear what people wants. They don’t want an hardcore-based game.
They want a fun MMO to play with.
They want healers to have some kind of challenge outside the healing check “difficulties”.
They want the timegating system loot to be removed.
They want an housing system rework (I do).
They want to be rewarded in a proper manner.
They don’t want a brand new dead contents within a week.
They don’t want being sit in PF and wait hours before it fills.
They don’t want anymore excuses from Yoshida.

But this is not what SE wants.

Wholeheartedly disagree - you used the word "forces" a few times, which is hyperbolising to say the least.
Honestly - this conjures a mental image of YoshiP stood behind you with a Taser gun demanding you turn on your PC/log into FFXIV/play content you don't really want to play.

And no - I'm not saying the game is perfect, nor am I trying to be some White Knight - and I agree with some of the points you raised, but the FACT is no-one is forcing us to do anything where the game is concerned.

Well just like goodbye threads dont see why people feel like forums are the place for it. Simple fact is anything people do for long period of times has the risk becoming mundane. Simple fact is he would rather play an mmo that just came out this past year so its shiny and new during his free time. If thats where he finds enjoyment then so be it hopefully he it keeps his enjoyment for another decade or longer.
