The thing is, extreme content trials is the middle ground. Yes, some need a guide to grasp, but once you start doing it, you will get better and it will get easier. Practice makes perfect, after all.

Yes i mean, its not the worlds end but just a bit disappointing. Maybe i could search or form a static of bloody beginners, but how long is that static gonna last with seeing very slow progress. Im just gonna do crafting and become the richest person on the server and make the best glams in the world and get a House in about 3 expansionsI don't like to quote posts just to basically say "yeah me too", but here we are. I have no shame in admitting im not a very skilled player. I am a slow learner, reflexes aren't what they used to be etc. But even I have reached the point where the existing 4 person dungeons in the game are mostly snorefest wall to wall pulls. Sure, I might occasionally die if I forget a mechanic or am not paying attention but they are very easy for the most part. You put it well when you categorized that content on a scale from 1-100 as around 20 and it feels like everything after that is 80+ and that type of content will NEVER be for players like me.
Where is the 20-80 content?![]()
Just do learning parties in PF. You'll probably find worse people out there and start to feel more confident that way.Yes i mean, its not the worlds end but just a bit disappointing. you could do 6.0 and 6.1 extremes in current gear. but yeah i agree there is sadly no middle ground. the community doesnt help though. whenever i mention something like that other people tell me to do savage.... they dont even try to understand no matter how i say it xD
alliance raids.... yeah.... no. aglaia is great but difficulty wise its way too easy
Yeah, Iove Aglaia but after week 1 everyone knows what to do and it's boring, especially as a healer.you could do 6.0 and 6.1 extremes in current gear. but yeah i agree there is sadly no middle ground. the community doesnt help though. whenever i mention something like that other people tell me to do savage.... they dont even try to understand no matter how i say it xD

The really isn't much. Extreme is regarded as easier than savage, but it actually varies because there are some early savage floors that are easier than certain extremes. Regardless, if you stick to extremes and the first two savage floors, which are usually the easiest ones to pug, that's about the best medium difficulty there normally is.
We do have criterion and criterion savage. It's a new type of content so I'm not going to judge where it stands yet, but a lot of people think it's not medium difficulty.
Palace of the Dead and Heaven-on-High have higher floors that are regarded as challenging and there is a solo achievement and title you can get. I'm not sure where that stands but maybe it's a candidate.
Blue Mages have something called the Masked Carnivale, and while most of them are very easy, there are one or two that can take some progression and require muscle memory to become good at. You can try soloing dungeons as a Blue Mage with Basic Instinct or you can do everything in the Blue Mage Log with friends, including extremes if you are up for them.
There aren't a lot of them, but there are large-scale raids such as Eureka NMs, Baldesion Arsenal, Castrum Lacus Litore, Dalriada, Delubrum Reginae and a lot of the Bozja and Zadnor CEs are rough and wipe people. Being large-scale fights with as many as 24 or 48 people, it doesn't matter if you specifically die but it's a nice challenge to get through the fights without any deaths or vulnerabilities. Sometimes the entire raid wipes but if enough of the people there can handle it, they will usually just rez you.
Alliance Raids are similar with a lot of one-shot mechanics too but the amount of healers, red mages, and summoners present means you just get a rez if you die, you can follow someone else for all the mechanics if you don't know them, mechanics only require up to 6/8 to do the mechanics correctly in anticipation of 6 people being new and all that makes them a casual content.
When our gear increases we usually destroy alliance raids too easily as well and unless people are using logos/lost actions well, Eureka and Bozja have some protection from this although I don't know how the echo has affected them.
In other news, there is no technical debt from 1.0.
"We don't have ... a technological issue that was carried over from 1.0, because ARR was meant to kind of discard what we had from 1.0 and rebuild it from the engine."

Use your FC? Learning or blind groups in PF?Yes i mean, its not the worlds end but just a bit disappointing. Really, you're somewhat catastrophising how big of a deal prog'ing an Ex will be. This forums expectations from players can be very skewed and doesnt reflect what you'll find in game; which will for the most part, be patience.
WHM / BLM / SMN / NIN/ DNC / Omnicrafter and Gatherer
after week 1? I did it on release day and we only wiped twice (once to Rhalgr fisting the metoer, once to the scale mechanic), not a single wipe since then (granted I've only done it 10 times at most), I heard a lot about the Nier raids being wipefests in week 1 and I was really hoping to experience that with Myths of the Realm
You can always give unsolicited advice, it's always morally correct
nier wasnt a wipefest xD.
dun scaith was, orbonne was, wiping city was.... i really hoped we would get more of that... but i kind buried my hopes after nier. nier wasnt as easy as aglaia but certainly not on the lvl of other third raids
Just to add to this, the people I (and I'm sure others) complain about here are those that put zero thought or effort into playing the game. They're not the people like OP who are actually concerned about performing well in the higher tiers. They'll just show up and expect to be carried.
One example that's still fresh in my mind is a Duty Complete party where we were bamboozled into attempting to carry a DRK through Barb EX. I flat out said, "we're giving this just one try" and 3 minutes later, we disbanded.
