I wish I could give this mount back - coils spoilers

I'm not entirely sure where to put this, but it probably belongs in lore since I don't actually believe they'd take back my mount. BUT....

I am a reformed cut scene skipper. I have a Twintania mount. As part of my born again story loving, I recently went back with a friend and played through Coils. While I get that the mount has some great animation, I can't actually imagine voluntarily riding a mount with a control collar. I was so horrified that this was my RaF reward and I'll honestly never ride it again. Am I the only one?

Most mounts are not canon, your WoL isn't enslaving some of the bosses you defeated.

Riding Eden Ramuh would be weird when defeating him is necessary to progress the raid storyline.

I appreciate your distinction. I could get behind the idea that this is another incarnation and not the enslaved boss if the mount didn't also come with a control collar

I mean, at least it was already dead
