Why should you go in as a tank or healer, and then get DPS gear?

While I disagree with the OP on his gearing fix idea, you can literally do this now. Go in as tank, win coffer, use it on dps lmao.

No? It's very useful for when nobody in your group needs a coffer that drops, you can still use the coffer for another job you want to gear. You can do this with the books that Savage gives as well, this isn't a new or recent thing. I'm going to do reclears on the jobs I have geared the highest, that shouldn't be a big middle finger to me once I am BiS but still want to help others in my static or in PF with getting their BiS.

No thanks. I don't want to go back to the era where random pieces of gear that drop are useless because no one plays the class. We already get that a little in Turn 4 where a random wep drops along side the coffers. The coffer system was a good step in the right direction. (the older system was before my time, but everyone enjoys the coffer system way better).
