I have really long hair too so if I ever go to dye it... god I shudder to think how bad it'll be in cost. My hair is currently long enough for me to sit on, comes down to about my lower thigh now.

My family's first computer was a 486 Windows? What was that?! DOS was it and navigating that to play games (until my dad's friend hooked us up with Magellan, lord that makes me feel extra old) was a pain. But after we made our foray into Windows with 98? Perfection. AOL with its dial up and the agonizing NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO you'd have when people would call... that's unlocking some core memories right there.

My dad got me my NES when I was 4. I think he played it more than me. He carried me through Chip n' Dale Rescue Rangers and the absolute HYPE on his face when he beat the first 4 levels was great. After that he loved when Christmas rolled around and I asked for (and they could get) a new system for me because damn he loved seeing the way the graphics looked. Seeing the intro movie for FFX (both the piece with To Zanarkand and then the fmv where Otherworld played) he was floored, and then got even moreso seeing FFXIII in action. He definitely played Pong and all when he was younger lol.

Mid 30s, starting to feel the burnout on todays MMO's.

People love the 'gimme reward now' gameplay that nearly every game has at the moment, finding it hard to enjoy games that dont have some long term goals

    36. Have been gaming since i was 8.

FFXIV is the first MMO for me and FFX was the first FF game for me.

    And some other details:
    Most played genre: FPS
First game i played: Tetris (probably not the official one on that though)
    First multiplayer game: Red faction.
Most played game: team fortress 2 (4000h)
Favorite side activity for games: Level design (hammer does not track the time spent in it, but is easily 2000h for tf2 and css)

    34 here.

First MMO was FFXI (which took an age to be released in Europe)

I know 34 isn't all that old, but I am struggling to keep up with the youngspeak in game. "that's good bruh" and "man, you were leet"

You could give LOTRO a go. It is possible to unlock the entire game without ever spending a cent on it. The grind to do it is enormous but it is possible. There is a long term goal for you.
