There were different complaints as far as I remember. Some did not like the amount of Ivalice raids (but at least you only had to do those once), others did not like how you could get the items faster outside of Bozja. Which imo just shows that for a group of people its nicer to just get it done with the same fates in the old zones than grinding in the new one.
Other complaints where that you still needed to do the bozja "dungeon" and could not do it outside of it which already raised the question if people in the future can even finish the weapons at all. Which is why I like the older relics more. There is no fear that I will ever be locked out of doing them because I can either unsynch the content or find people since its the regular duties.

Since HW relic weapons have been the most unfriendly anti-fun system in any MMO.
SB Relic was probably the WORST one demanding people to run CT raid 100 times.
Yep. Older relics were future proofed. Eureka and Bozja relics were not in any capacity. There were different complaints as far as I remember. Endwalker relic is just crap.
Really dont understand why you put relic quest behind Hilibrand.
Not everyone can get the humor
Not going to do it at all
Relic is entirely useless now, please make relic with some use on real battle plz

Can't please everyone. There will always be people who gripe and moan about content or how the content is implemented. If you don't like the Hildebrand quests, just skip all the dialogue and cutscenes. For me, anything is better than ARR style relics. Curse those damn books!

Welcome to the first step out of however many there will be(still unknown to the players after all). There will definitely be combat related parts of it. There ALWAYS is.
To be completely honest....they should do a relic that is just doing the books like in ARR. No changes other than every step of the way is completing those books, FATEs included. Let people sink their teeth into that, then see which is worse. Doing a step you can skip cutscenes/unsync trials, or having to wait for the right FATE to finally pop, along with all the need to do dungeons that don't happen as often.

As an Ivalice enjoyer, god I am glad EW relic didn't lock behind another raid series, atleast Hildibrand is mostly cutscenes and easy to solo unsynch trials (with exception of SB but at least does not need 8 people for that)
Unlocking Bozja relics.... I still have nightmares on trying to clear Orbonne with almost a hour of queue, people immediately leaving when we got it, dying to every boss, me praying no one would vote to abandon duty, it was... torture. It became one of my favorites but damn Orbonne got that reputation.
