New hrothgar hairstyles are really bad.

Rather than upgrade my island I saved 6000 blues to get the practical ponytail and I adore it. Im keeping it on til 6.3, assuming going forward all new options will fit hrothgar.
It also looks gr8 with two-tone hairs but hrothgars fur pattern also changes color so I dont use the highlight option lol

I'm trying to do this, but I feel like I wasted 500 clearing the land, and then it wants me to spend 1k (!) to clear more for another landmark.. outrageous! I don't know how to make the currency as quick as some of you, because the crafted items are garbage. I need to get back on and gather for sure though.

You do get 3000 or so for the first 4 ranks of sanc, then you get 2000 a week from challenge log (gather 100 items/ship 20 items to the stock exchange w/e).
So I just didnt do any expansion and saved blues from 2 days of shipments and got enough for my new 'do.
Expansion was secondary to me once I saw you needed to expend blues, we got a buttload of time til 6.3 drops and any further island updates happen.

I got the practical ponytails for my fem viera and really like it. The first hair for female bun I like besides my original hair. Nice for a change that a new hair actually works. Still waiting on my gyr abandian plait to be usable.
I really dislike the highlights though, I would have preferred fewer highlights in the hair or even a dip dye. As it is right now I feel like a zebra if I use the highlights. It would have been nice if the actual ponytail was a bit longer too but I suppose they wanted to avoid clipping. I still love my old hair so I think I will be swapping back and forth a lot.

I have next to no currency left on my island and I am approaching level 7 now. Should be able to afford the other hairstyle come end of next week.

Yeah, that was my thoughts too. I am not in a rush to max out this place. It doesn't really matter to me to do so. I'd rather have a new hair sooner. I'm sure it'd probably be faster in the long run in terms of earning potential to save for upgrades (maybe), but when my mind is set on something that's what I am going to do.

I used to have what my FC called a "craptop". A really bad laptop basically designed to die in two seconds. It handled an incredibly crowded Gangos with Hrothgars that have hairstyles we do not yet have, even after being given new ones, really well. That thing couldn't handle any crowded area, and it was a mess during any event as I had to do them at night where nobody was around. Bozja was an absolute delight, I was even surprised. No polygons got in the way.

So don't tell me that "oh we caaaan't", sis, if that craptop worked on Bozja, it can work on you.

I'd say it's a matter of mostly they just don't want to make unique models, unfortunately. I wonder if the main reason they gave hrothgars little ear socks, was because of the previous outcry over removed ears, so they grudgingly added these?

they almost assuredly wanted to sidestep the additional effort required. though, I am still waiting for official hairstyles that don't turn my linebacker sized cat dad into a wannabe K-pop fan.
