More content for solo players?

Did you forget the treasure hunting for DoL? ^^
Chances to find a treasure map during gathering. It sound like a solo content.

But I hope PvP don't be solo content in 2.0 like 1 versus 1, but more party versus party or free company versus free company like in ragnarok online ^^

I meant more along the lines of: 'Almost everything I have done has been solo for the most part.' Leves, Behests, GC Leves, Main storyline, Class storyline, Job storyline (most of it), Crafting, Gathering, Farming... so heh. Don't really need mroe solo content imo. Need more Party content. And I don't mean a 3rd Darkhold, or another Primal with crap drop rates. I mean like Hamlet defense, or some storyline stuff with party required fights...something.

MMORPG = people sharing an online world. Nothing more, nothing less. There should be content available for both solo and party content. MMORPG doesn't mean party all day, nor (edit for spellin) does it mean solo all day, it means share the same world, which is a world that anyone who is online can interact with (secret: in whichever way they choose!).

MMORPG = Massively Multiplayer Online RPG

Multiplayer = People playing TOGETHER and/or AGAINST each other.

These are set definitions of the words. You can't make up a definition of your own to fit your "view".

I'm sick of all those people who want SE to cater their needs. If you don't like party play, don't play a party play based game, simple as that. Stop demanding shit in a game, that wasn't made for your needs in the first place, instead find a game that caters towards your needs and leave the people who actually enjoy party play alone with the games that are meant to be played in a party.

It seems like everyone who has played FF games in general thinks he has the right to tell SE how their MMORPG coutnerparts should be like and cause it's a FF, they have the right to enjoy this game just like any FF they played and were solo only. This game has the name FF on it, but it's an MMORPG, deal with that fact, or leave it the fuck alone...you don't have to play each FF just cause it's FF...

If this game would be named "World of Hydaelyn" you wouldn't even be here...so what's your point...

Job storyline you can only do solo if your class have a high level. You can't do it solo if your level is only a bit higher then the required quest level. Even the lv 30 quest is not easy with a level 30-35 4 player party.

Most of the job storyline is still solo content. I am glad they made a few of the fights require more then one person though. I had fun helping others get AF and whatnot.

Okay, while I somewhat appreciate that we're getting a content finder (I say that with a grain of salt after watching it destroy WoW's community), that's not the issue. When I want to solo, it's not usually because I have trouble finding a party (I play healers in all my MMOs, I don't often have that problem). It's because I don't feel like playing with a group at the moment. Believe it or not, I don't want to party 24/7. And after reading some responses in this thread, I know I'm not alone.

I don't see solo content in a game as a second choice. Sometimes it's my first choice.

I'm very glad we're getting more quests, however. That's been a glaring content hole for a long time. Quests, quests, and more quests with a side of quests, please!!!

I agree completely, both on the quests because I am a quest addict and also because I am among those who choose to solo and enjoy soloing. I think there should be a choice so we can party when we want to party and solo when we want to solo. One does not need to replace the other. I don't solo as a result of not being able to party, people are always offering to party in this game. I love the community aspects of this game too, I see nothing wrong with wanting both options because either one can become monotonous. Variety is good!

Some times there are reasons why partying is inconvenient, whether it means you don't want to commit to a group only to know you have to depart for whatever reason in real life and then leave people hanging. In those situations, it is nice to still be a customer and enjoy the game. When you have the right time for partying, then its good to have that option too, being able to set aside time to dedicate to sharing it with others.

People seem to think that enjoying solo means you don't [also] enjoy partying and group activities, that is not always the case. An offline console game would be a better alternative if a person did not like social or group activities. I think there is a difference between wanting to only solo in an mmorpg and wanting to both party and solo in an mmorpg.

Also I feel there is more solo content in this game than in XI but I am still new to some of the content.

In your analogy... Goose and Ducks is different, but are both birds. Sharing an online world with others, or playing in a online world with others is the same thing.. I think everyone here wants more option to both solo and party play.

This is mmorpg why add more solo content ------- maybe some card minigame with npcs - but playable also with players
