People who can't do AOE rotations in 70+ Content

Exactly right. It's unfortunate a lot of players feel that others should pick up the slack, and are completely fine with wasting the time of everyone else in the party, and that this behavior is quite often encouraged.

It's not even about being an elitist or anything like that either. These people who defend and enable these other people to drag down a party of players think they are being "nice". That's what gets me - common courtesy would make you think everyone contributes, or at least TRIES to contribute because it is the polite and courteous thing to do when you are playing with other people. The ones who refuse to do their share are not respecting anyone else's time or effort, and can be pretty nasty about it too, but people are defending them? It's absolutely mind boggling.

No, but seriously. Up to a certain level, everyone has some sort of expectation on the team they're in. Of course I don't talk about something like "I'm expecting a team full of 99 Percentile because 98 is trash, they will only waste my time !".

What I personnaly expect is that people can somehow understand that AoE attack may be more potent than Single Target, especially on wall to wall pull. Just use this :

MATH FORMULA INCOMING !

(Potency of attack) x (Target hit)

I'll do the math for my reaper, and we will compare it over 3 consecutive attack (RPR Debuff will not be counted) on 3 targets !

Single target filler combo :

320 x 1 = 320
400 x 1 = 400
500 x 1 = 500

320 + 400 + 500 = 1220

AoE :

140 x 3 = 420
180 x 3 = 540
140 x 3 = 420

420 + 420 + 540 = 1380

The more target we have, the higher this number goes. It's basic math, simple as that.

I'd like to know the reason behind that "Single target" attack on a wall to wall pull. Maybe I'm missing something somewhere...

Going deeper though - and maybe off topic a bit - It is basic math, but is spamming AOEs fun? I've never found that.

Mao has AoE rotation that has 5 spells in its. Is almost as fun as single target rotation.

I think what you and many others don't understand is that most of us don't like being queued with bad players, It's not a good experience, but there's nothing we can do about it. It's just unfortunately part of the package of playing with real people.

If complaining about others changed their behavior to the better this community would be perfect, but that's not the case. So if yelling at the players doesn't work and we're having this tired conversation once a day, let's at least be productive about it and talk about how the game can do a better job preparing players to higher level duties.

Or, you know, make another 20 pages thread about how bad players should only play single player content with not one of those players reading a single post of it.

I do get that, but you know what? Literally kick them. It's that simple! Part of playing with others should not be "you are forced to carry someone looking for a free ride". Absolutely not. You have the means of stopping it, actually use it!

Probably when they can't even be bothered to spam the same aoe skill vs only targeting one target at a time lol

It's very easy to tell when people are putting in effort and are just new/struggling with the class vs. someone who is leeching.
