I mean, personally I don't consider myself a babysitter or a parent of the player base but if you do that's cool. I got bigger problems to handle than someone not doing something right in a dungeon. So, if you wanna carry that torch go for it dearie.

Like I said, if you have lead what you do with it is up to you. If you don't and the other people don't want to vote kick, same thing...up to you what you do with yourself.

I feel like a broken record now.

Even in the examples you gave, you need to be using your AOEs. The fastest way to get a tank killed is to waste your GCDs on single target while they're spending all their resources on a pull that's taking too long because you're trying to burn down one mob at a time. And you absolutely should not be wasting your mana gauge as a RDM on your single target combo during pulls when your Enchanted Moulinet combo costs 60 and deals 130 potency to everything it hits. That's a DPS gain on 3 targets.

Overall I would agree that AOEs should be used in optimal conditions.
However, as we can end up with various types of people in the roulettes I tend to not assume and at least for the first 1 or 2 enemy groups try to understand how the other party members are functioning.
If I can mindlessly blast AOEs that would be easiest, but there are cases where it may not be the optimal choice.
Single target is the absolute worst you can do in situations where your tank and healers are bad and struggling. Unlike trusts, their resources arent infinite. A tank with a terrible healer will run out of cooldowns, a healer with a terrible tank will run out of resources. If the mobs arent dead at that point you will wipe. If the tank misses an add you do not stop to aoe, you stack up with the tank to make them hit the mobs they missed with aoe.

No matter what aspect of the game people criticize, Reap will find a way to be the contrarian. You're all wrong for not liking everything about the game and expecting anything out of the community.

I think some of you people need to stop playing the game because clearly you're not having any fun.

I mean OK your 15 minute dungeon took you 30 because of 2 or 3 wipes, I'm so sorry for your loss, but for the love of god move on. I promise you that people that don't know how or when to do an AOE rotation are not even reading their weaponskills, let alone this forum.

I don't disagree that the game has switched it focus to attract casual and none-MMO/solo-game players (I believe Yoshi-P has even said as much) but then they should do things solo-games do like forced tutorial missions. ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ
The devs should dust of the Hall of the Novice, freshen it up with new and updated lessons, and require it to progress in the MSQ. °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°

Being lead in DF means literally nothing. Anyone can initiate a vote kick, the "party lead" doesn't actually do anything.

That line of thinking can be applied to anything in the game. Hard disagree. If I'm tired or drunk and I get home from work and want to do roulettes and be shit at it that's my right, too. Make a PF, set your rules, problem solved.

This is aimed at people who like to do single target rotations when people wall to wall for them. You're legitimately a detriment to the party.

Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
I feel you dude. I ran an expert recently in the newest dungeon(I forget what it's called). There were 2 NINs in the party, me being one of them. The other NIN only used doton on the first boss that is full of adds. Never used it on ANY of the wall to wall pulls. I'm sitting there scratching my head like..."Really?" XD Thankfully we were all well geared so the dungeon was still quick. Could have been faster though.
