If you queue using duty finder you should have zero expectations. Put your own group together so those of your ilk can stay together. I am sure the people in duty finder won't miss you.

Thanks for your opinion. I'll still have mine. You can leave this thread. I won't miss you either.

No matter what aspect of the game people criticize, Reap will find a way to be the contrarian. You're all wrong for not liking everything about the game and expecting anything out of the community.
I don't get this opinion. Outside of HW/SB dungeons, as well as trials throughout every section that don't have trusts and the fact that Trusts don't support multiple players...
What reason could you have for not satisfying the lowest expectations possible? It's not being elitist to expect it. It's just being a decent person at this point.
No ones saying they expect the DPS to be as high as humanly possible. Just please use your AoEs.

Do you expect your tank to use tank stance? Or your healer to use heal spells? Do you expect someone to not be afk?
Absolutely not. At 70+, you should know the basics of how your job works (barring sage and reaper obviously, but even still you should know what an AoE ability is if you CAN unlock those two jobs). Having the most basics of expectations is not wrong or mean or whatever, it's *expecting people in a group based game mode to contribute to the group and not make things harder for everyone*.
Also, lol @ "I am sure the people in duty finder won't miss you." Absolutely lol. What a take.

You literally cannot have 0 expectations if you're doing something. Doing something, period, always is with an expected result.
To have 0 expectations is to not do it, but even that itself has expectation.
Then let me be worse. It's not like I'm actually playing wrong if I give as much effort as them. After all, if I'm at that point, the group's already concluded his action is okay, which means it's not only approved, but reportable if kicked afterword.

this is incorrect. You are expected by basic standards to in an aoe situation, you are not expected to know whether 2,3 or 4 mobs is better but you are expected to aoe. As when u que you are agreeing to the built in rules of what you are qued for. Single targeting in aoe situation is 100% griefing.

From the dev's perspective, all that is expected is that people clear the content they are doing. From a moral and community perspective, everyone should be pulling their weight. To avoid these issues, we have the tools to sort each other out. Well, mostly. Vote to kick, leave duty, party finder, etc. People can have their expectations, but they should also expect that things will not always go their way. So yeah, I would suggest keeping expectations tempered when you roll the dice and queue through the DF. Not everyone is going to be on the same skill level and some people might not even care for that matter. They should care, and they should get better, but some do not do either and they likely never will. Some will indeed improve, which is great for everyone. It is what it is, no matter how much people want to shout to the heavens. It seems like a lot of people in this thread are not being realists about this. I'm not defending subpar/lazy play, for what it's worth. I just have realistic expectations with random people in an online game.this is incorrect. You are expected by basic standards to in an aoe situation, you are not expected to know whether 2,3 or 4 mobs is better but you are expected to aoe. The fact that this has 38 likes is so sad. There are 38 people here who are supportive of fostering an acceptance of laziness and inadequacy. People can complain all they want about toxic elites in other games like WoW, but I'd argue that the people in this game who support the mindset of throwing your dead weight on someone else's back are far worse than any toxic elite you could find in WoW. A toxic elite just tells you you're trash. If you're not weak minded, you can at least take that as reason to improve and become better. The toxic casuals of this community coddle you and by doing so, they sabotage your potential growth as a player. Why improve if you can just let everyone else put in all of the effort?
This is truly the best community in gaming.![]()
