    Yeah because whenever I got queued for Copperbell Mine I was always jumping for joy getting to the 2nd boss where half of the party did absolutely nothing.

    The old dungeon designs fit with 2.0's gameplay mechs but in current game where a lot has been changed with the gameplay, those old mechanics just don't work anymore and wind up being ineffective and boring.

    I guarantee you, nobody was ever excited to run those dungeons prior to the rework. How about we take off those rose tinted nostalgia goggles.

    What do you mean standing in the corner, letting the tank getting poked and waiting for the bomb to do its thing isn't engaging content? We had mechanics too, you know?! We had to wait for a rabbit to pop up so we could kill it!

    ARR had "soul" in the sense that stuff was outside the box and they were clearly experimenting. But that never went anywhere, and in the current design, those "outside the box" unused mechanics are just a hassle than engaging gameplay.
    People are quick to point out that the game is boring for being so straightforward. Which, sure, valid. But I almost never see people think of why it got like that.
