people use a lot of plugins/addons for housing stuff and believe you me the outrage would be tremendous if these were hit, as well as gshade and other quality and convenience things people use to improve their gameplay experience

GShade doesn't turn people into jerks, though.
FFLogs and DPS meters is what certain people can't handle one way or another.

Not the first thread this "Katt" has entered to derail the discussion, but definitely the one they have been most dedicated to; and unfortunately most successful at.

I just wanted to add my two cents about this topic. That despite it having been brought up often enough, that YoshiP only ever truly comments on the likes of DPS trackers, parsers, and raid tools/mods/plugins.. oh and nsfw things. In all the conversations never once has the conversation touched on the things in between. Such as the QoL fixes that roleplayers especially love so much. Tools to manage the chat box in very busy areas, or QoL enhancements such as the big viera and hrothgar hat, helmet, and hair fixes. It's always just raid stuff or nsfw stuff that one time.

He is not going to mention viera and hroth fixes because that would be an admission that modders have provided needed solutions for problems SE has been unable to fix. There is also not really anything of value left to discuss in this thread. We're all sick of this topic getting chewed through over and over again. Once per patch for the inevitable malding about world first is enough.

Folks:

Exhibit one in why and how both logs and parses can be and are misused.

Unless that person has applied to your static, is a member of your static, is doing any form of high end content with you, you have no business nosing into their logs. Using logs to denigrate or belittle other players is EXACTLY the kind of behaviour that Yoshi was talking about, and why he is so against dps meters ingame.

I actually should be thanking you, you've made my point far more clearly than I could have...oh and dont bother trying to get into mine...they are restricted, need to know only.
