You're basically implying a remote code exploit exists in the game then. I find it highly unlikely there is one and if there was, you wouldn't waste it crashing random game clients. Smells like you've installed something sussy baka, as the kids would say, and you don't want to admit to it.

Then it unfortunately just cannot happen. That's not how software works, and this would require a massive exploit of the game client, and if they could do this they wouldn't kick people out of PF and instead would use it for more malicious purposes. The simple thing is, it isn't possible from a technical perspective.

I don't particularly care about this incident, but I don't like people spread misinformation of what and can't be done. External tools for sure can do a lot, but this isn't one of them. A remote code exploit would be more rampant and would cause thousands of people lose their accounts because you could install malware etc. on your system. If that was the case, you'd be in MORE trouble, EVERYONE would be in trouble. But that just isn't the case.

I could literally link you to subforum of exploit of games that uses plugins and addons to do much worse on this game that are only accessed through passwd / paywalls and hidden / censored from public view. But that would be against TOS. So saying it is impossible to these type of hackers and coders, they would laugh just as hard to your face.

Plugins that interact with local files on YOUR computer are not the same as injecting code directly into the server and sending custom error messages and kicking people out of the game. I shouldn't say its literally impossible because its not, but some random streamer doesn't have that level of hacking skills and the developers would notice that immediately and there would be a hotfix within hours.

And yet i have absolutely 0 mods installed, my pc is as stable as a rock, ryzen 5800x / rtx nvidia 3070 i would give you the hard drive to check it yourself no problem, i never have it crashing and all components are pretty new to this year, i never crashed out of the game since i own this computer and this is the first time the game has been that stable to me tbh, shadowbringers had issues tho.

So you're saying someone has somehow infiltrated your client to crash it, but are WILLINGLY offering your software to people to check it, potentially opening it to being injected more?

Not to mention the person doing it would get caught. There's no if involved here. SE doesn't have any invasive garbage to scan our computers, but anyone that thinks for a second things are as exploitable on their end is in for a rude awakening.

I provided more then enough evidence it did happen, now it's in the gm's hand to look at the chat logs to look at the very insinuating nature of what has been told to me in the p6S area at the beginning of the raid, what has been said there, was a clear indication that the person knew he did kick me out and that there was a specific message that i needed to read , so he could judge of my honesty. Do you get the context now ?

Well think of it like this. Computers can crash and fail at any time, your error message 100% didn't have any custom message prompts, and was a standard message prompt. Either the english Direct X one, or the one with the yellow exclamation mark or the one that was fully in Japanese.

But also, if people could indeed crash players with code injection, why has there not been a global outbreak? The moment such exploits surface, they get abused and used publicly. Peoples machines would get infected with malware. If you could run code on others' machine (which is what would cause the error message), you could also open any website, download any program and execute it. People who created / discovered this RCE would use it to infect thousands upon thousands of players with malware, ransomware and whatever else just by having them stand in limsa. But they haven't, because it doesn't exist.

Please, just stop doubling down and saying you had some error message you did not have. It's o.k to be upset at the partys behaviour (which I assume is the case) but slandering them for doing a cyber-attack and is pretty sure considered federally illegal, is bad. Given enough proof they could take you to court for slander especially when you have no proof of it.
