Well, Hrothgar are Ronso

They arn't Ronso. They are Hrothgar. There are distinct differences.
Ronso are from the Snowy Mountains of Mt Gagazet, and have Unicorn Horns. Its not detachable, and there is no unique Variation that are born without Horns. Although the Horns are an exclusive trait to the males.
Hrothgar have Helions and The Lost Variants, and serve a Queen. Ronso do not.

The Hrothgar are only called Ronso on the 1st, which is no more then just a Fanserve Reference.
Sure, they reference and are inspired by the Ronso...but they are not Ronso

Ronso anatomy is very different to Hrothgar, too. Digitigrade, taller, don't stand or walk around hunched everywhere (most of them anyway), don't have their chest taking 2/3 of their torso, etc.

And it's literally just a fuzzy Roegadyn with a lion head. Even Miqo'te try to look like they have claws. It doesn't look good on them at all, they look like they have a serious case of arthritis and are this close to develop carpal tunnel syndrome on top. But it'd look better on us. Especially since our racial gear does offer claw nails.

The same would happen to the Lupin. It really is in everyone's best interest to focus on improving what we have now rather than speculating and engaging in wishful thinking. Because odds are even if we were to have the moogles for a race, not even Lalafell gear would fit them.

Hrothgar have claws when using their starter gear, but it's omitted from every other piece of glove or gauntlet type of gear due modelling laziness.
They do share the skeleton of Roes, but their bodies are very different. Not only are Hrothgar shorter, their torsos have thinner waists, while Roes are basically like Juggernaut in X-men VS Streetfighter with the barrel-like torso and silly micro heads. Their legs are also shaped differently, their pose and animation are completely different aside from the jumping.

Ironic because the word Hrothgar itself is believed to come from the Proto-Norse *Hrōþigaizaz, meaning "Famous Spear". So they're meant to be pointy and large.

Considering how they tend to make races just add a dog ear headband and an equippable tail and there you go. No need for a whole new race.

Lol we've had this argument with Viera and Hrothgar years ago.

Hrothgar: IF you want to play something that looks animal, just wear the beastribe outfits provided, or some of the animal looking glamours. Boom, you are a beast race, no need to make one.

Viera: Just play a Hyur, go to the Gold Saucer and buy the Bunny Ears. And BOOM your a Viera.
No need to make a whole Race.

Both ideas are not favorable, nor offer what people are looking for.
Plus it limits customization and glamour options WAY more then it currently is

Viera are Viera.
Moogles are Moogles
Hrothgar, are not Ronso.

If you look at the 2 mentioned races above, they are very consistent with their original material.
Hrothgar are nothing like Ronso, besides Face 4. and that even has a removable horn. Ronso Horns, are not removed. The Males are born with it.
Viera at the very least even still have Rabanastre and their Ivalice setting.
There is no Equivalent to Mt Gagazet. And Ronsos dont Serve a Queen. They live by rule of an Elder.
