Deflection noted. More people use glamour as an endgame than do savage and ex..but please, feel free to share figures that back up your claims. I am fairly sure you will find that the percentage of "real hardcore raiders" is a small percentage.

Then again, I doubt very much you have any idea of current game demographics or actual game design philosophy.

Am I, or did you just not read my post? I believe the thesis wound up being "non-hardcore communities wind up being the foundation for hardcore ones" and that casuals serve the same purpose to hardcore raiders as minnows do to whales.

Wasn't deflection actually. No MMO has a chance to flourish anymore beyond being some small cult hit without brand name recognition

Honestly, I was skeptical when this was brought up initially, because I was concerned about where they would draw the line. Looks like there really isn't a line to worry about, so long as people aren't cheating or using NSFW mods and openly advertising their use. Sounds to me like nothing has really changed, and the only reason they responded the way they did was because they had to. There was no avoiding it. Otherwise, it could cause some issues for the game in various nations and their laws. So, they have to be on the record in stating that third party tools/mods aren't permitted via the ToS.
