What stikxs said, plus we need a global or cross-city chat system that allows people to see "shouts" from anywhere/any city, so you don't always have to go to Ul'dah to find members or watch for public activities.

Yep. It's called their party search feature which is what people are suppose to be using it for. No need for LFG channels and all that garbage.

As far as the party search goes. Spent the better part of 2 weeks with my LFG comment up and seeking party checked. Tried party recruitment, no go.

Went to Uldah shouting. Got a group in under an hour. (finally )

as a newer player i was under the incorrect assumption that people who wanted X quest located in say Gridania would be in Gridania. Abviously that is not that case.

If shouting in Uldah is quicker then no one will bother with search or seeking.

I have had limited luck with the seeking party and search system. But for nearly anything more then 2 people it seems to fall flat.

The 2 suggestions prior, Market wards will help alot. I'm being a foolish and stubborn noob and placing my retainers in Gridania. Atleast one of them. I want to do what i can, which isn't much, to help keep some population in the city i choose to help, live and defend. If for no other reason then to help someone a little newer then me to be able to buy a few things if they like it there as much as i do.

Plus side, since the Job quests and the server merge there have been ALOT more folks around Gridania of late. Its kinda nice ( Please stay we have cookies! )
