Expertly played DPS will always outperform moderately played DPS, regardless of the job. Especially if the jobs all play off each other's synergy, like in 8-man raid content. The DPS differential between jobs only matters if you have an expertly played MCH (for example) against an above average SAM (for example). If that's your group's problem, you'll probably be fine anyway.
