have you not connected enough? honestly some stories were so boring that I just straight up skipped them and I care about story.
You realize that would just make other normal gears from 72-80 just useless, right?Let's say you went back and added Job-quests to Shadowbringers. Maybe at level 72, you get your boots, which will level with you and scale to 80. Every two levels, you get a small progression, netting you legs, gloves, chest, and finally helm. Maybe the lvl 80 quest nets you the helm *and* weapon?
Seems you never heard of ROLE QUESTS, right?

When you deal with human beings, never count on logic or consistency.
Fluid like water. Smooth like silk. Pepperoni like pizza.
I just enjoyed how both him and Dorgono were tsundere for each other. It amuses me and I'm interested to see more of them. This is mostly just me heavily biased towards roe characters and I just like to see more representation of them really.
anyway Curious Gorge is just one among many interesting job npcs that I like.
I miss the job quests too.
I can accept that SE can't keep up with writing a full questline for an ever increasing list of jobs each expansion, but it'd be nice if we got one quest to check in with those characters.
I agree with this, even if it was backloaded the PCT quest moved me more than most of Dawntrail. It's fun to imagine more where they do the FF6 Ultros jokes and the like.
We're really missing a lot of class flavor, FF homages, etc by not having this. Roles in this game don't have enough identity.
Cut out the side quests if it's an issue of labor. Side quests have been so ignored they don't even scale right with XP in Dawntrail.
