The net is more than just your direct connection to your isp. That's why if ATT or FIOS has an issue somewhere further down the line, it can effect people from other states, while people on other ISPs won't have issues connecting to the game.

Websites don't care about packet loss, and neither does video streaming (that's what buffering is for).

XIV only has 1 set of servers for each data center, and they are located in California. If your isp routes you through a faulty node, you can see lots of people on the same isp having DC issues, while others have none.

Yeah dude, it's crazy that people would look at everyone else getting kicked, a massive queue to get back in, and "Everything else working fine" and think that the problem was with the one thing not working. Crazy how in this internet centric world, people would ignore the most obvious shit while troubleshooting.
