"I THINK FFXIV SUCKS"

*pats on the back* Hate to tell you but even though we can come and go gear will be outdated if you leave for a while plus the weekly tome cap( should be no cap at all) that is just the start. I would say FFXIV is a GOOD game I wouldn't say great. There are things that really need to be fixed before it can be called greatI just wanted to say that the developers are doing a great job! I love this game, and I wish I would have heard about it earlier. I began MMO in 2009 with wrath of the lich king on WoW. I stopped playing WoW full-time in 2014, and I was bored for years. I only heard about how good FF14 was doing when there was a big insurgence to FF14 around the time that asmongold was trying it out shortly after the blizzard drama. (I had no connections to tell me about this game. I was disappointed with almost all of the games that I was finding.) I also only found out about asmongold playing at the time, because it was recommended on my youtube, as I didn't regularly watch him. I have begun to love this game, and it feels like I have a healthy relationship with it. I don't have to keep playing, and I can always come back to it when I feel like! There is no constant demand for me to constantly improve my character or be left behind (except at the beginning of these raid patches). I've had fun all along and have run into many great veteran players along the way who have shown me the ropes. I have also run across a few who believe they are better than everyone else, but soon enough, I will put them to shame in their own preferred content and laugh the whole way. I only wish it was easier to do so, seeing as how I don't have the same work schedule I had in the previous decade and I also do not desire to run with the hardcore players, despite knowing that I full well can. Either way, it's been fun
thank you, ff14 team!
I love ff14 too OP and share your sentiments it isn't perfect from my perspective and it has changed so much over the years. The changes are not always for the better but I still love it and it is great entertainment and it has been part of my life since 2.0 ARR beta after a quick try of 1.0 and have not yet feel the need to unsubscribe.

Agreed! I started playing back in 2015 as a side-game when WoW was my main MMO, and gradually started playing more probably around 2018 or so, then finally let WoW go and made this my main MMO probably about a year and a half ago. I took my sweet time leveling and enjoying the story, all the side-quests, Gold Saucer, class quests, etc.. Never felt pressured to run through, have had a blast. I love the music, and it's really nice being able to play all roles on one toon instead of making a bunch of alts and re-doing the same story over and over again. The game is a blast, I'm having a ton of fun playing, this is the first xpac I've been at max level early on, and I'll give a nice big thank you to the dev team for the game they've put togetherI just wanted to say that the developers are doing a great job!
