lmao no I am not a SE white knight. Every few years or so I to sub to XIV for a while and spend my time as a PvP tourist to casually mess around, because this game is for casuals and not worthy of try-harding. Funnily enough I think I have maybe 3x as much sub time on WoW than I have on FFXIV.

Balance is one of the best parts of CC right now, I honestly don't think WoW PvP ever achieved this level of balance where all jobs have winrates between 48-52%. But XIV is still a 20 tick game in 2022. Having a 20 tick game was questionable even in 2013 and 60 ticks has been standard since probably 2015 or even earlier. XIV PvP will never be anything competitive when its net code is so archaic. But for a casual way to spend time it's great.

Finally decided to try ranked CC. Man it feels gut wrenching to work for hours on a tier. Then a set of bad matches undoes a whole nights work.

You could also just not play CC and let it die like it should.

There's no game that can achieve true balance as long as it has competitive element in it. Never was, never will.
