There are quite a few problems with CC and the way it handles matchmaking, and yes, it can drain the fun out of the mode very quick... if you let it. Yesterday, I began playing ranked again (haven't touched pvp since last season) and it's been an adventure to say the least. There are plenty of games currently where it's ELO hell and you can't get anyone on the same page to save your life. Games where I'm staring at the enemy team all clumped up together in perfect unison and wondering which god I need to be praying to in order to get the same result with a bunch of headless chickens I got stuck with lol. Some games are unwinnable from the start, and that's just a fact you have to accept when jumping into this mode. That doesn't make you a bad player at all. No matter how good you are, you are not going to be able to 1v5 when the enemy team clicks and yours... doesn't. It's very ironic that the casual mode feels more competitive than the actual ranked mode most of the times, it queues faster, and no headache from trying to rank up as well!
The ranks themselves serve no purpose, so there is no point in fixating on them if you find yourself stuck. Bronze/Unranked players fighting Golds doesn't really scream balanced lol. The entire game mode is also so luck based on what players you get and what jobs they are playing. Some people are literally just playing for the exp to level their jobs up and couldn't care less if they win or not. With that said though, if you find yourself constantly losing when both teams are clicking... then it may just be something you are doing/not doing. I record all of my matches so when something happens I can go back and review the mistakes that lead up to them, instead of writing it off that my team was a bunch of dummies that caused me to lose. That may have very well been the case, and it honestly has been many times, but not every time. The more you fix the "You" problems, the more you will naturally climb the tiers.
These matches will happen a ton. Sometimes you just can't carry hard enough. Don't get mad at these games. Focus on the next one.
Correct your mistakes and aim for games like these. Even with an 0-6 BRD, our team was able to get a win.
