I can feel that, I hate going H2 for that reason. Muscle memory is too strong sometimes.

So apparently Hurricane Ian is strong enough on the cat scale that it shut down our Waffle Houses until it blows over.
One of my co-workers: Dear God.
Me: First time?
Edit: realized I posted in the wrong thread, but at least a minor story comes with the edit.
So just got out of Nab's trial while helping a friend. One of the rando dps that loads in decides to ragequit and pull their ethernet cable, and never comes back into the fight. He moved around a bit before he went poof.
We end up 7-manning it and only a few deaths, and friendo can finish getting out of the ARR slog.
To that random drg that pulled the plug before the trial: I hope you step on a Lego.

Me: That was far from the worst pun I could've come up with; I wasn't even Troian that hard. ;P
I was tempted to make that Scarmiglione line a bit longer, and add "I (Rubi)cante take much more of this."
I aim to make my posts engaging and entertaining, even when you might not agree with me. And failing that, I'll just be very, VERY wordy.Originally Posted by Packetdancer

Sounds too me like the tank took issue with you getting ahead and drawing aggro. Its best when it comes to proceeding in a dungeon to just let the tank handle pulling and wait until they got a solid hold on things. As for healing them during the pull just watch their HP if it drops fast or starts to get uncomfortably low heal them. Their are tanks that if you pull for them or purposely pull off them they will just leave you to die.Went into expert roulette as a Sage and got Troia, with a paladin, summoner and dragoon.
Everything went ok but at the first pack after the first "Boss" i got some aggro from using dots and aoe early, i decided to keep walking. I didn't use Sprint or Icarus, all i did was hold W.
Reached the second group of enemies, healed myself a bit to stay alive, rest of the party arrived shortly after, and what does the tank do? Single target attacks. I ended up dying because i hoped the tank would pull aggro from me so i didn't heal myself more.
I admit i got a bit angry so i respawned instead of letting myself get revived from the Summoner, they also ended up dying, so it was only the paladin and dragoon in the end. Paladin keeps themselves alive with Clemency, the summoner and i came back and we defeated the rest of the enemies.
Whatever, stuff like this can happen, right? Well, it happened again for the next 2 packs. I got initial aggro but kept walking, eventually i decided to stand still a bit, so the tank can grab the aggro from me, but they didn't. Instead, they kept walking, ignoring the enemies attacking me. I died again, paladin doesn't bother to use Clemency this time, so we wiped. At this point, i started to believe that they are doing this on purpose, so i confront them about it.
Here is the chat:
After the "More healing, less talking pls" i stood still and wrote a report, then waited for the loot timer to run out so i can initiate a kick, which succeeded. But apparently this happened by mistake, because after the paladin got kicked, the other 2 dps left immediately.
Just to clarify, the tank didn't use Sprint, Shield Lob or Intervene. And again, i didn't use any mobility skills at all, so i really don't understand what the issue here was. And yes, i was healing, when i was alive.
Oh, and the person that didn't talk, the dragoon, had the same last name as the paladin and came from the same world.

Note: Taking advice from a players alt, is like taking advice from a voice in a dark room. Criticism is a two way street remember that!!
Which is against the rules. If someone else is aggro'd then it's the tanks job to take it off them. A you pull it, you tank it mentality is reportable as it's against the ToS. It falls under the category of "Aiding the enemy / Uncooperative behavior / Lethargic behavior."Sounds too me like the tank took issue with you getting ahead and drawing aggro. I'm not saying to start pulling for every tank you see, but if you're tanking and someone manages to get ahead of you, then you should take aggro. This is a level 90 dungeon, tanks should be more than capable of handling it(and on another note as a healer that has dealt with this a few times, you can usually deal with tanks refusing to grab aggro unless all of the trash ends up on one dps or yourself). Another note as well but you as a tank shouldn't be falling behind people at level 74+ due to having gap closers(and 74+ is generous since only Pally gets its gap closer that late).
Besides that... All concepts of right or wrong aside, if you want to finish the dungeon, it's more beneficial for you as a tank to just drop your ego and pick up the extra mobs.

Doesn't sound like they ran ahead based on what I read above. Sounds like they were running with the tank, and the tank had a severe case of tunnel vision. Should have picked anything up the second they lost aggro to the DoTs at the very start. Based on the post and the screenshot, I'm siding with the healer here. The tank's attitude only made that easier for me.Sounds too me like the tank took issue with you getting ahead and drawing aggro. I don't think I've ever given off the impression that I'm a master tank or anything, but if there is anything you want me to do differently - pull more, pull less, whatever -- you can just say so, it's not a big deal. I have zero ego about it. We're supposed to be on the same team, here. But when you're the healer and you run off by yourself at top speed into another room, miles ahead of the rest of the party, that's not helping. You have not asserted dominance or proven yourself as a Pro Gamer. And when you cause multiple wipes time after time, not saying a word to anyone, the rest of the party does not think you are cool. We think you are a loser. And when you ragequit right before the last boss of the dungeon, only for a new healer to come in seconds later and steal your easy XP and tomestones, it only cements what a loser you are. Thankyou for coming to my Ted Talk.
Tanks need a couple swipes at each pack to get proper aggro, especially if DPS are already starting to hit the first. Sprint timing is also a thing. If you're jumping ahead and not stopping or falling back, it's not the tank's problem. If you're a healer running ahead of me, I'm already thinking of my report for when you decide to abuse rescue.
