I rip the axe from the head Covered in blood and brains Leave the body lying dead Ready to strike again
My sword cuts through clothes and skin Like a hot knife cuts through snow I smile as the bastard screams When I twist my sword
Sword in my hand Axe on my side Valhalla awaits me Soon I will die Bear skin on my back Wolf jaw on my head Valhalla awaits me When I'm dead
Viking Job Please!
its just something about logging into that music, being able to customize it also with different wallpapers and bgms. it was a bit tedious but i kinda trust it more than a website if i wanted to give my account information....it felt more secure
this was one of my favorite POL bgms,

i would leave POL on just so this song can be on repeat....memories

Well .. honestly ... the login screen is simplest HTML and depends hopelessly on the availability of the network connectivity. It does not only look cheap and amateurish ... it actually *is* cheap and amateurish.
But hey, no worries, that's only a little teaser for the account creation nightmare which follows directly afterwards. I am pretty sure that SE will address this topic sooner or later, because it scares off a high percentage of potential customers right from the start ... and on the PS3 something like this won't be acceptable anyway and very difficult to implement. It would also rule out a possible X360 conversion due to the lack of a http client on that system.
Actually the lack of HTTP access as well as the locking down of the Xboxlive system so that it can not connect to the internet or to other systems outside of XBL is exactly why XIV wont show up on the Xbox 360. Microsoft does not want any game on its system to cross platform with PSN. Or Steam. Which is why steamworks is getting ported to the PS3 and allowing PS3 owns of Portal 2 to instantly own it for Steam as well.Well .. honestly ... the login screen is simplest HTML and depends hopelessly on the availability of the network connectivity. I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.

I don't miss POL, probably because it looks horribly like the Wii UI
Pretty much every POL function can be integrated into the lodestone (which looks much more sleek) without being a stumbling block for people that want to just log into the game.
