Water Otter Fountain parts. You exchange them (2 of each part) for a permit which lets you build a fountain. They are apparently pretty awful to craft. The fountain itself is pretty big though. Much bigger than I was expecting, but it's nice.

Yeah, I thought it was weird that we had to replace an existing landmark just so we could have it. I mean, I like it more than I ever did my treehouse, but that's not really the point.

Honestly we don't need an extra landmark spot for it. The landmarks don't have unique qualities to them. Building any landmark will trigger the increase to Groove cap. Adding a 5th spot might have made players feel pressured into spending gil on the fountain if they can't make the parts themselves.

I ended up building 4 treehouses for one of my alts because I like the way the treehouse looks with the island much more than the other landmarks. The fountain is very nice but it's also very out of placenext to the more primitive aesthetics of the other buildings and landmarks. Maybe we'll get more modern looking options for the buildings later in the expansion that would make the fountain fit in better but for now it's the swan in a pond filled with ugly ducklings.
