I know it just comes down to FFIX's art style in that game, but Genomes from FFIX could've probably worked as recycled Lalafell? Would've ensured there's a tailed option for every size lol.

As much as I'd love it I think it's more likely they'd end up closer to Miqo'te without the ears rather than lalas, their stubby presentation is just a result of the art style as evidenced by Zidane not looking like that in crossover appearances.

I know, you're right, but given they went and used Roegadyn as the basis for Hrothgar (when Midlander would've made more sense, they're not that buff in FFX) I could see them deciding to similarly put the Lalafell model to extra use.

But to answer your question, hands down I would want the Bangaa from FF12.

If not, then I would like the Lilties from the FF crystal chronicles series ‘cause they’re cute short onion people.

One of the reasons i'm not hopeful about female Hrothgar appearance.
Really hope they aren't too different from the males.

If you ask me, I'd like a slightly beefy race.
Currently we have Highlander, Hroegadyn and Hrothgar but nothing in between.
Burmecians would be amazing but I can already see the whole development team crossing their eyes at the thought of the nose.

We either have brutes or slim races.
I'd be satisfied if I could have an au'ra/miqo'te taller than 160cm with a more mature face.
So first focus on the current races available. We need more beard for example.

Another small race would... Yeah I foresee troubles due to lalafell current problems in cutscenes.
Thought it would be great if we could replace all lalafells with ivalician moogles...

Having more clans for the existing races could be great then.
Make them distinct enough like how midlander and highlander are under Hyur, but are actually pretty different.

That way you could have for example a Elezen with Hyur proportions like Hilda, without making a new race.

Or with female Hrothgar you could have a fierce, bestial looking one alongside a more feminin one.

That way they can upgrade the current races with new looks. Of course we also should get more options for the current clans too.

I don't particularly care but it would be very funny if they were to randomly add some new fully functional race with headgear and hairstyles while still leaving viera and hrothgar as the meme races. The screeching on the forums would be glorious.
