With the addition of Proto-Carbuncle... (summon/pet glamour)

Personally I wish they would do away with the glam system and just give carbuncle a greater role. Why do we have ruin/ruin II? Why can these not be assault/assault II that orders carbuncle to use a GCD magic attack similar to stormblood? It’s the same result but now the attack is coming out of a pet (like we’re a summoner or something). The same could be applied to aethercharge, instead of us casting elementally infused ruins, carbuncle could absorb the aether of our summons to transform into ruby/topaz/emerald carbuncle and use new elemental attacks, again, same moveset just now it’s being cast by carbuncle instead of us.

I honestly think this would require more effort than fixing the petglamour to work on 90 Titan/Ifrit/Garuda. So I don't want to suggest it at the moment as that's a year or two out for a major rework I imagine given the glacial pace they've taken to balance this expac.

Also, I think you mean Shadowbringers. Stormblood still had the pets be sic/obey. I remember specifically that in STB you put up Garuda for the magic down debuff then swapped to ifrit and set him to sic. I know because I refused to do that since I'm lazy and the STB opener was dense as it was, and having to swap pets in the middle was annoying.
